They’ve also done some interesting studies about young children who can delay their gratification. Preschoolers who can put off eating a treat for the promise of a bigger treat in ten minutes will be doing better at the end of high school than those who just can’t wait and gobble up the small treat.
The trait of self discipline, or self control, is very important to success in school.
