Mary is not the "spouse of the Holy Spirit."
Rome's preoccupation with the sexual relations of Christ's family and His disciples has always been one of its short-comings.
BXVI's visit to Britain and the resulting reclaiming of millions of people to Christianity.
lol. Reclaiming? The crowds, thank God, were much less than Rome had predicted.
And the only reason Ratzinger went to Britain was in order to shore up his flagging church throughout the British Isles. He's hoping to poach some misguided Anglicans. A fairly fruitless goal.
And very often the confessions themselves are diabolical. The WCF comes to mind.

What an amusing statement. I posted the small excerpt from the Nicene Creed which deals with Mary. If the OPC adherents cannot deal with Mary, so be it.

My current pastor is an ex Baptist preacher (Army chaplain). I have had an ex Presbyterian priest and some from other religions who converted as well. The fruit is ripening and the reunification of Christianity is gaining momentum.
God is calling Christians home to the Church. But all Christians need to remember that when it comes to assuming salvation, that the first shall be last and the last shall be first. I remember the scorn poured upon Mother Teresa right here on FR. She made herself last, and the servant of all, as opposed to those who would assume salvational status, pouring scorn upon all others. I understand why Reformed beliefs would jettison Gospel teachings; it is simply incompatible with Christianty.
According to the latest article on the Papal Visit at the dailymail.co.uk:
The Pope flew home last night after a triumphant four-day state visit, declaring that Britons have a thirst for Christianity.
In a final attack on the atheists who tried to wreck the visit, Benedict XVI said that the country has become a highly secularised environment.
His speech was the culmination of a tour aimed at re-evangelising a country he believes has slipped away from its Christian roots.
The popularity of his visit confounded opponents who predicted thin congregations and empty parks.
Benedicts speeches and homilies which have confronted his own Nazi past appear to have overshadowed the views of protesters, led by Stephen Fry and gay rights activist Peter Tatchell.
