Christ descended into Limbo to preach to the souls who were in prison — that is, to announce to them the joyful tidings of their redemption. “ refers to the place where people like the OT prophets etc. were in before Christ opened the gates of heaven. Do you follow that?

Christ descended into Limbo to preach to the souls who were in prison that is, to announce to them the joyful tidings of their redemption. refers to the place where people like the OT prophets etc. were in before Christ opened the gates of heaven. Do you follow that? It makes more sense when you realize that the entire concept of "Limbo" is purely imaginary.
