The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

Two Comments
First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
Maybe the objectively meaningless thread he initiated can die now?
Those who need God’s mercy are those who believe the drivel printed in that book Quix posted excerpts from.
And those who were calling him a liar about it.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
SUCH TOUCHING AFFECTIONATE AND WARM CONCERN FOR MY SOUL!
IMPRESSIVE!
. . . if it weren’t so contradictory to so much brazenly fierce bearing false witness other garbage.
THE BRAZEN RC
!!!!DEMAND!!!!
THAT FR ESSENTIALLY, MORE OR LESS CONFORM TO
THIN-SKINNED VATICAN SENSIBILITES
AND SUBMIT ITSELF TOTALLY TO DIRECT CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT OF THE VATICAN OFFICES OF THE POPE SO THAT SAID SENSIBILITIES WON'T SUFFER SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!! LOL.
THE TYRANNICAL INQUISITIONAL VATICAN MIND SET NEVER SEEMS TO DIE!
INDEED.
I can see why the RC’s would want that after Quix posted the book excerpts that he said he had and nobody believed him on.
I agree, that it is more than a little sickening to read that stuff and then have some people come back and say we shouldn't believe our "lying eyes". Just WOW! Thanks Quix for taking the time to post those pages but I could have told you it would be ignored. Some people are all bark and bluster.
Did I say you called anyone a liar?
If the RCC disavows this work as representative of Roman Catholicism, where is it?
Show us the source.
Quix, do you know anything about this author? Is he still alive? No doubt he was Roman Catholic. What about the publishing house? Was that a Roman Catholic publisher?
Perhaps he is a UFO married to Semple one who is really a Unitarian. You too can guess.
FOR SURE.
Which shows yet again
that their only vocabulary seems to come from the
Vatican ALICE IN WONDERLAND SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY AND REALITY MANGLING
DAFFYNITIONARY
e.g. “OBJECTIVELY MEANINGLESS”
LOL.
I’m beginning to think very very very few RC’s hereon have the faintest notion about “objective” or “meaningful.”
QUITE SO. QUITE SO.
I knew that.
I had no delusions about an apology nor any other reasonable, sensible, rational, civil . . . much less “CHRISTIAN” responses from that camp.
I don’t know about the author.
The Publishing house is still going great guns, IIRC.
I suspect this devotional is one of the top 3 for RC’s if not the top one but I haven’t been able to prove that, yet.
Maybe I do not care what any idiots think as to my relationship with God, my Faith or anything else of conscience for that matter...
Religion was established a right and granted wide latitude in the foundation of this country -primarily because God it what premises legitimate authentic individual freedom.
What I see on this thread is not a disagreement of opinion. It is garbage -as is your posting to me that I respond to...
I am an ally in the conservative cause regardless you paint me an enemy...
It is and it was those things common among the religious that this country was founded upon...
Holier than thou looking for a fight can kiss my *ss.. They accomplish nothing save puffing up their egos...
If, as some are saying, this booklette does not represent official Roman Catholic Church doctrine, will they now go on the record here and denounce what it says? What parts will they agree with? Is it ALL incorrect or only certain parts?
If the book and meditations are not representative of what the RCC teaches, where’s it renounced by the RCC?
Please provide a link to where the Roman Catholic church disavows this work as not representative of Catholicism.
At most, I provoked reflection ---in your case maybe this takes time to get through...
There’s lot of information about the Daughter’s of St. Paul on the internet. It does appear that they are still going in full force.
Someone there had to give approval for that to be published.
Nihil obstat: John G. Hogan, Diocesan Censor
Imprimatur: Richard Cardinal Cushing
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nihil_obstat
Nihil obstat (Latin for “nothing hinders” or “nothing stands in the way”)[1][2] is a declaration of no objection to an initiative or an appointment.
Apart from this general sense, the phrase is used more particularly to mean an “attestation by a church censor that a book contains nothing damaging to faith or morals”.[1] The Censor Librorum delegated by a bishop of the Catholic Church reviews the text in question, but the nihil obstat is not a certification that those granting it agree with the contents, opinions or statements expressed in the work; instead, it merely confirms “that it contains nothing contrary to faith or morals.”[1]
The nihil obstat is the first step in having a book published under Church auspices. If the author is a member of a religious institute and if the book is on questions of religion or morals, the book must also obtain the imprimi potest (”it can be printed”) of the major superior.[3] The final approval is given through the imprimatur (”let it be printed”) of the author’s bishop or of the bishop of the place of publication.[4]
GREAT QUESTIONS.
We’ve already had one comment about how great a book it is.
BTW, AT 235 PAGES, IT’S HARDLY A “BOOKLET.”
