The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
“The words are Paul’s, not mine.”
The greater truth is that the words are God’s. And I think I do have you. Welcome to the unprofitable servant club. It is a wonderful place to be, and the end, eternal life.
“They who worship idols/UFOs become like them.”
This stuff tears my heart and brings me to tears. I can only imagine what pain this must have caused Our Blessed Lord on the Cross
I THINK YOU SPEAK FOR A LOT OF US ON THIS FORUM AND I THANK GOD FOR THAT AND FOR YOU.
“YOUR SIDE MAKES ME SICK”.
YES.
And this is the first time I ever posted in capitals.
The other side, those here maybe just quoting what they got from other sources, is so outraged by Mother Teresa that, though they rebuke our understanding of the binding and loosing sayings, they say she deserves Hell.
The other side, is so offended by Mother Teresa's obvious grace that they heedlessly embrace falsehoods about her as truth.
I know parents for whom nothing their children do is ever quite enough. They have forgotten that love is the law-giver, that unless they evangelize their children not with words but with deeds of love, they are failing in their duty.
Here, for the other side, a life given to washing in a bucket and kneeling on stone before going out to love the unloved and almost unlovable, such a life is contemptible and damned because mangled quotes suggest that maybe Mother Teresa did not agree with them in every particular.
Mt 15:18 - This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mk: 7:6 - He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of [these] hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Yes.
That was spectacular, anything else I could say would only trivialize it.
I'm not Catholic and I think that any "religion" forum that engages in attacks on good, selfless people like Mother Theresa or tearing down the Catholic faith (or any other people's religious faith) serves no good purpose whatsoever. The nasty tone and vicious nature of FR's "religion" forum is shameful.
John 13:34-35Christ taught love and respect and forgiveness. He did not preach mockery and guile and contention. I know that FReepers can and are permitted all manner of behavior in the religion forum. But, just because that behavior is permitted by the rules of the forum, does that make it right?
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.Matthew 7:12
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.Luke 6:36-38
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.Phillipians 2:3
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Only prayer and fasting can combat Satan as he manifests himself in these open threads through his servants who attack the likes of Blessed Mother Teresa, or Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, or the Most Holy Mother of God.

Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dearest sister in Christ, and thank you for your encouragements!
Bless you, brother. Let us praise God who is wiser and more loving than we.
(For those horrified at my prejudice, my best Virginia friend is Eyetalian. I asked him tonight if he knew how to make an Italian shut up.
Answer: Tie his hands.
He cracked up, and then drank the Margarita I made for him.)
The nasty tone and vicious nature of FR's "religion" forum is shameful.
May God forgive me. I am ashamed.
“Christ taught love and respect and forgiveness. He did not preach mockery and guile and contention.”
Well spoken.
Praised be Jesus Christ, NOW AND FOREVER!
I’m actually relieved you didn’t end that post with “to arms, to arms”. After I muted Jerry Lewis (an unheard of high crime in my home) and read it aloud to my wife I came very close to taking a hallelujah lap around the neighborhood and the police have enough to do on a holiday weekend already.
INDEED. WELL PUT.
FLEE IDOLATRY.
WHAT FELLOWSHIP, LIGHT WITH DARKNESS.
Hallelujah lap: good
Hallelujah lap with insufficient clothing: Not good.
Just sayin’
I’m a bit ambivalent about discouraging folks from their hobby and avocation of making a fool of themselves.
Some of them are so hilarious to watch.
May God have mercy on their souls.
I AGREE.PRAISE GOD.
