Pick Up Your Weapon And Get In The Fight.
Dear Friends and Family,
One of the most consistent and important themes of my almost 20 years of preaching and teaching has been that of spiritual warfare. This is, in fact, one of the most consistent and important themes of the Churchs preaching and teaching throughout the ages.
St. Paul cautioned us in the sixth chapter of his Letter to the Ephesians that, Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in regions above He was referring to fallen angels, or the demonic forces.
The existence of the Devil and his army of darkness is a doctrine of the faith. Satan is a fallen angel, created good in the beginning, but through the abuse of intellect and free will falling from grace, taking a third of the angels with him, as Jesus himself asserted.
We are caught in a fierce battle, the spoils of which are the souls of Gods children. As the Church teaches us, The history of humanity is the story of dour combat with the forces of evil. St. Paul cautions us not to shadowbox, but fight so as to win.
At this point in the history of man, souls are jumping into hell at an unprecedented rate. We have to put on the full armor of God if we are to win this war for souls. Therefore, pick up your weapon and get in the fight.
God Bless you,
Father John Corapi
Would you let us know what your weapon of choice is in this epic battle?
“What is *your* weapon of choice in this epic battle?”
Daily prayer, especially the Rosary, frequent sacraments: Confession, The Holy Eucharist, Brown Scapular devotion, self-denial, study, contemplation, and speaking out where possible in as effectively a manner as possible.
These are the weapons that Our Lady Of Fatima recommended, and She did promise that in the end Her Immaculate Heart would triumph!
Jesus will return and conquer all.
Communism, Islam and the other works of Satan will not last.
This is one Southern Protestant that will usually listen to a Father Corapi homily when I see him on ETWN. I part ways with him on a few bits of theology, but I also learn from him. The man has been given a gift.
One of his most recent shows have helped me greatly.
It when he told the audience that Satan can even reach into the pews during Mass. Related a story of a saintly woman who said that she must be possessed because during Mass she would think thoughts. He told her that the devil can put a thought into your head. He told her to tell satan to get out of her head and he would.
Actually I think he said, she told the devil where to go, and he went there.
He is planning to be in Newark on Oct 30th and talk about the Domestic Church. It is a little too far for me to travel, but I would love to attend.
The Scriptures and the Sacraments.

(I think I need to work on self denial.:)) I've been married 26 years and can't recall seeing my husband without his Brown Scapular on. The two of us (during the summers when he's not subbing at school) walk with our dogs to daily Mass reciting the Rosary on our way. When school starts back up (today!), I always get a little melancholy, because while we still go to Mass together (I take the dogs, he takes the car), we can't say it together. Sometimes in the late afternoon, however, we'll add in another Rosary together. Now just 88 or so more rosaries/day and we'll catch up with Padre Pio. :)
There is only one tragedy in the end, not to have been a saint -- Leon Bloy.
Prayer.
Fr.Corapi is the best. I enjoy listening to him on EWTN. One of his most recent shows have helped me greatly. It when he told the audience that Satan can even reach into the pews during Mass. He told her to tell satan to get out of her head and he would. Actually I think he said, she told the devil where to go, and he went there.Ha ha! Yes, he doesn't dance around with his message. I just love him too. My husband and I have a standing date, parked in front of the television, on Saturday evenings to watch him on EWTN. Someone mentioned on the comments here, that he has a "gift," and that's the best way to describe it. He can talk for an hour straight, getting his message across with both seriousness and humor, and there are no umms, ahhs, etc. Great speaker!
Padre Pio was relentlessly attacked as related here by Gabriel Amorth.
Now with Fr's suggestion I just say get out of my thoughts and it works. It really does.

Fr. Corapi is truly blessed with Holy Spirit, not like Hussein with devil's teleprompter.

Beautiful story mlizzy. May God bless you and your family, and all those whom you meet in daily life.
Leon Blay certainly summed it up correctly!
PS: I should also mention that I have added a daily Chaplet Of Divine Mercy which Our Lord requested through St. Faustina.
” Ephesians 6:10-18: (10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11) Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: while using your loins of defeating the devil (18) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; [1]”
Father Corapi left out a few parts of the scripture he was referencing! Those are the weapons we are supposed to use!

PS: I should also mention that I have added a daily Chaplet Of Divine Mercy which Our Lord requested through St. Faustina. Some kind soul on Free Republic told me about a particular Chaplet of Divine Mercy recording, and I purchased it and added it onto our player (you have to scroll down some to see it), but she mentioned she really liked this one. I have to start up again (I used to say it regularly years ago).
>Communism, Islam and the other works of Satan will not last.<
.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is that it will last long enough to kill millions of people on this planet first.
In the meantime, are we going to try to deflect their slings and arrows or meekly wait for the end?
“... Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. James 4:7
>Fr.Corapi is the best.<
.
His best talks are when he doesn’t mention his own experiences. He has enough fame today that he does not have to introduce himself to the public.
