Another idea for you would be to sign up for RCIA classes at one of those parishes. There’s no commitment to join the Church after completion, but it is a great way to learn more than you thought you’d ever need to know about the RCC.

I probably will when I get back. I’m hoping to sign my contract and leave for Basic within a month, so right now this is little more than an expeditionary operation of sorts.
