John 6:28-29
28. Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
29. Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
The Greek is "ergazōmetha" which means: "we may work". So Jesus is being asked, "How do we begin to do the works of God?"
So to commence God's work you have to believe in Jesus Christ. No LDS would deny this, correct BlueMoose or restornu?
Secondly, the verse confirms the need for works from by Jesus himself, faith or belief being only a starting point.
And again you post, but not to my question from almost two hours ago?
Hum...
I give it a 8.5, too bad this isn’t gymnastics...
Flawed translation 10, you can't even read a lexicon or parallel correctly. The concept of to "begin" is not found in the definition "we may work". Further just what is this WORK 10, that Jesus reveals - come on 10, even you can figure it out if you try
29. Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
And from what does this spring from - FAITH first. Jesus never said there would be need for temples, ordinances, WoW, etc.
How do I get the INVISIBLE font to show on MY screen?
