"Some people are so foolish that they think they can go through life without the help of the Blessed Mother." "Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today." "All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother."

Is Mel Gibson a Catholic?
is your mammy? it's about as relevant a question.
I ask the Living to pray. I do not ask the dead nor pray to the dead nor FOR the dead. Let the dead bury their dead. Christ alone LIVES. All others sleep.
Mary is dust, and she will wake up, transformed, the same time as everyone else who has died since Christ. She isn’t hearing prayers, thinking any thoughts or aware of anything that is or has gone on for the last 2000 years. Zippo. Nada. Zilch. None. Nope.
Never heard that all graces pass through Mary. We ask Mary to pray for us. Jesus does listen to Mary as he did at Cana. Mary’s power is from Jesus.
Salvation posted: “You are always a Catholics, once you are baptized a Catholic.”
Is Mel Gibson a Catholic?
Mary wasn’t divine as far as I know, nor part of the holy trinity
and yet, no Mary, no Christ.
Ergo, no Mary, no grace.
It's really that simple. Everything you think comes to you from Christ, would never have come to you at all had not Mary agreed.
You owe her thanks.
I can go along with that. That's what I was taught by every Sister Mary What'sHerName at St. X's.
“God the Father and Jesus, her Son, love Mary so that they can refuse her nothing.”
So God the Father and Jesus, her Son, love Mary more than they love me or you?
I suppose we should also worship Pontius Pilate and Judas Escariot because without them then this whole thing would be moot too.
Mom is a devout Catholic and goes to church regularly. The EWTN channel is often on in her house. She also listens to Charles Stanley, Joyce Meyers and wears ‘Jesus’ lapel pins.
While I can’t get a witness in the catholic faith of ‘Mary as Divine’ not sure it’s that dangerous of an error. My mom loves Jesus tremendously and if catholic she doesn’t make it to heaven
it’s going to be a very sparce population there! (although i dont believe that at all)
“BTW, Catholics ask Mary to pray for them.”
The article quoted seems to say that Mary is supposed to do a lot more than pray. All God’s graces are supposed to pass through her, etc.
That is a whole lot more than asking me to pray for you.
that's really bad logic.
“and yet, no Mary, no Christ.”
And yet, no Abraham, no Christ.
No Jacob, no Christ.
No King David, no Christ.
No Bathsheba, no Christ.
No Esther, no Christ.
No Ruth, no Christ.
No Boaz, no Christ.
No Joseph, no Christ.
Etc. Yet we are not told that all God’s graces flow through them.
I think we need to keep our love for Mary in proportion to the rest of God’s people.
You asked: “Youve asked someone to pray for you, havent you?”
Never a dead person!!
Jesus said “no one goes to the Father but by me”
That says to me that if you don’t go directly to the Father in Jesus name He doesn’t hear.
non-sequitirs, Einstein.
Only Mary was asked for her permission to host the incarnation of God Almighty -- to donate her flesh to His Spirit.
You may continue with your "proofs" if you wish, the fact is as incontrovertable as God Himself.
And further, people who think mothers are "just like anyone else" just really don't get it. That kind of talk makes me uneasy, frankly. Your mother is not just like anyone else. Pay attention!
Who says that Mary is dead in the ground. Do you not know of the assumptions of Enoch, Elijah and the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven.
Enoch and Elijah accounts are in the Bible. The Bible isn’t about the Blessed Virgin Mary — it’s about Christ. That’s why the Assumption of Mary is not in the Bible.
BTW — What were Mary’s last words recorded in the Bible? Hint — at the Wedding of Cana.
So your statement about ALL bodies being dead and in the ground is false, even if you are a sola scriptura fanatic.
Marys power is from Jesus.
Would you please show me where in the Bible it says that???
And please don’t quote from some reference you might use other than the Bible.
this was refuted in a prior post.
