Probably not. But if you do, why don’t you follow what it told you? Not only what to do but the things you are doing that it told you not to do.

Nope. We probably do.

“But if you do, why don’t you follow what it told you?”

I do. That’s why I am not Protestant.

“Not only what to do but the things you are doing that it told you not to do.”

I am not doing anything that it told me not to do. Your presumption is amazing - and typical of the anti-Catholic.

If they actually knew the Bible, fish hawk, the RCs would understand that the assembly of believers that Jesus referred to as built on a rock was everyone who had been given faith like Abraham. One just has to keep reading the story to see this mystery unfold. Paul makes it crystal clear that the faith we hold, is identical in kind as that which given to some men back to the beginning of time...that is, all of the elect.

If they want to claim a 2000 year old group, fine. They can own the heretics from Rome that built their own man-made organization, full of ceremony, tradition, and errant doctrine. They are welcome to create this fiction in their minds and doggedly cling to themselves as the center of the universe...well themselves and Mary.

We claim a 5000 year old group that clings only to the God-given faith bestowed as a gift, through no merit of our own exactly the way Abraham did. Our Assembly includes members like Moses, Joshua, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, and Paul. Our faith now centers on the Savior of men, Jesus Christ, alone. Here is the Assembly that Jesus spoke of and the one to which all rescued Christians and those Jews who anticipated Messiah belong.

And, while some that appear to begin on our side of the Tiber do swim to the other, it is only because God has darkened their eyes and, like Esau, denied them repentence. And like Esau, no man determines his destiny...not even the RCs. That is why it is called grace, “unmerited favor” and God reserves it for those whom He has chosen. We call to the other side, as directed, but many are unable to hear. Tragic, but true.
