Of all the Christian denominations, I really identify with the Catholic Church. I guess I am an old soul, but then again I am very impressed with Mormons and their families and that is very much a modern denomination while the Catholic Church is very old.
And I guess I like things that are very old that have heritage, that have a disciplic succession. I love ceremony, tradition, strong teachers who follow the traditions and so on. So that is way I have an attraction to, for example Catholicism, or Eastern Orthodox, and so on.
But having said that, I have never participated in a Mass, but perhaps I would like to but I am not even sure if I would be allowed to, or welcome since perhaps it is only allowed and for Catholics. Not that I have any problem with that, I can understand that very special things require special commitments.
My Teacher is Rabbi Daniel Lapin what he says is gospel to me. Because I believe he has a direct connection to the ancient wisdom and teachers who have a vast understanding of God, history, and tradition.
I think it is very interesting that some Protestants are going to the Catholic Church. I think that may be a good sign, a sign that our culture is now considering traditions as a way of understanding, and that America is again turning more towards conservative tradition.
TRUE evangelicals, if referring to born-again believers, would/could not cross to catholicism. Catholicism is completely antithetical to evangelicalism.
Perhaps this is biblical prophecy being fulfilled. The Bible does indicate the last days would see a great falling away into apostasy. Catholicism was founded by Constantine, (not Christ and the Apostles). This began the falling away, and it continues to produce corrupt fruit to this very day. Millions have been led astray by the apostate religion of Catholism. Like all other false religions, it was founded in the bowels of hell!
