Featured Term (selected at random):

SPIRITUAL REBIRTH

The transformation of soul which takes place when a person is baptized. The term was used by Christ when he said that one must be reborn of water and the Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Through baptism a person is reborn supernaturally, comparable to his or her physical birth naturally. the supernatural life of God is infused into the soul at baptism, much as human life is infused into the body at conception.

The transformation of soul which takes place when a person is baptized.

Salvation does not come thru Baptism, rather Baptism reflects the decision already made prior for Christ. It is an outward expression denoting a change in the status of a soul. It is following Christ who also was Baptized. Salvation comes thru prayer to Christ, repentance and accepting His finished work on ones behalf for the forgiveness of sin. Baptism alone cannot save...was never intended for more than an outward expression of a changed heart prior.

So sorry that you do not understand the full impact of the Catholic Sacrament of Baptism.

Not to feel sorry...I do fully understand what the ‘full impact’ ia concerning salvation, and the non-catholic meaning of Baptism satisfies all the requirements Christ asks of us as believers.
