While I am anything but a fan of Islamic culture, I don’t see anything good coming from this book burning. I’m against it. What’s the point, anyway? I say they should let Islam speak for itself. No further comment is needed.
Deas on accurate. About time people started saying it.
‘”The proposed burning of Qurans would be profoundly offensive to Muslims worldwide, just as Christians would be insulted by the burning of Bibles,” the NAE said in a statement.’
So burning Bibles is offensive but terrorism committed daily on the infidel by the religion of peace is not?
It's also a font of LIES.
Christians are offended every time they enter many Moslem countries because any Bible they might have with them is seized and destroyed.
Saudi Arabia is a good example of this ~ PLUS, there are certain versions of the Koran they seek out in your luggage and they destroy those too ~ lest heresy enter into the Kingdom of the Protector of the Two Holy Mosques!
Yes, the Saudi Arabian government destroys both Bibles and Korans with zeal.
I say BURN BABY BURN!
“The most powerful statement by the organizers of the planned Sept. 11th bonfire would be to call it off in the name and love of Jesus Christ,” NAE President Leith Anderson says.”
Oh yeah, that should really get their attention. Ignoring Islam and it’s predatory, bloodthirsty, expansionary practices doesn’t work. See Europe.
Charmin is much less irritating.
As far as I am concerned, any “Christian” that stands for islam is no different than the wolves that St. Paul taught us would be invading the church. They MUST be purged. At the very least, they should not be allowed to speak “for” Christianity.
“As an American and a Christian, I am alarmed by the growing marginalization of Muslims in the United States—and especially disturbed that American Christians do not defend our Muslim neighbors more courageously,” said Robert Sellers, missions professor at Hardin-Simmons University’s Logsdon School of Theology in Abilene, Texas
Aare you kidding? While I don’t agree with the book burning, this type of relativistic thinking is what brought us to this point! Get over your PC-ness, Mr. Sellers!!!!!
I am much more for nuking Mecca. The number of incinerated islamic “mein kampf” would be impressive.
Also, there is the near certainty of serious air pollution from the combustion of that salacious sack of crap.
Burning books will hardly do away with an apostacy as enlarged as islam. If islam is an effront to the Almighty its end will be from the rot it contains. Rotten trees produce nothing good. They are only good for the fire.
When Satan showed Jesus Christ all the coming kingdoms of the earth and Christ refused to be the Lord of such, he was undoubtedly shown the kingdoms that comprise islam. Christ could not speak of the day or hour upon which the end of the false world of Satan would come. No matter what the faithful are to endure, only the kingdom they carry in their hearts bring them lasting peace.
Many, many children of peace may lend their prayer that all apostates enter and share the peace. Those that lead astray will meet their Maker, in His Patience.
Maybe the church should burn towers full of people, that made Muslims worldwide happy on 9/11.
I tend to agree with the idea of burning the koran being a bad idea.
I plan on a better use for the koran. I will wrap my barbecued pork ribs with it and use its pages as place mats to catch all the delicious pork fat drippings.
Suck on that, Mohammad.
***LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - “The proposed burning of Qurans would be profoundly offensive to Muslims worldwide, just as Christians would be insulted by the burning of Bibles,” the NAE said in a statement. ***
I have read that people landing in Saudi Arabia are searched and all bibles found are run through a shredder.
This church had to go down to the store and purchase these Korans in order to burn them. You can't go to the Bible store in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan (our supposed alllies) and purchase a Bible to burn.
So while I don't particularly like the idea of the Church buying the Korans, I certainly cannot think of a better use for them than to use them as fuel for a bonfire.
