And if you think the above was an attack on you, well, you've proven that you were attempting to bootstrap. Try thinking out your post before reaching around to pat your own back and believe yourself loved by the Mormons for coming to their defense. The issues are over mormonISM, not people called Mormons. But then the one directing your post knew that even if you don't see it.

Did not Jesus show us these things when he was on earth?

Here Jesus refers to His Heavenly Father and Jesus Himself working togather

Here we are reminded that all men should honor the Son
Whom the Father has sent well as Honor the Father
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you,He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life.
Here Jesus again reminds us to Honor His Father in Heaven whom sent Him (Jesus)
that we may have everlasting life and not come into condamnation!
Have you ever tried to read the first six verses of John’s Gospel and align that with what you claim to ‘know’ regarding you and Jesus, The Word, Who was with God, and WAS GOD in the Beginning? ... You and Eve have something in common me thinks!

God was manifest in the flesh, (Is God finite? ... Or asked another way, was The Word with God and Was God in the Beginning! ... You see, Resty, you are being herded by demonic forces to ignore the Truth the Bible declares, so that you may believe the fictional novel--The Book of Mormon--is additional word from God. It is a revelation on what the lds think of themselves. At least that is true revelation to who they think they are.

He said his faith is LDS. Other Christians might be of the Baptist faith or Catholic faith. All 3 of these examples have faith in Jesus Christ just differing views on doctrines.
