American atheists lined up to be "de-baptized" in a ritual using a hair dryer, according to a report Friday on U.S. late-night news program "Nightline."
Leading atheist Edwin Kagin blasted his fellow non-believers with the hair dryer to symbolically dry up the holy water sprinkled on their heads in days past. The styling tool was emblazoned with a label reading "Reason and Truth."

I think you are describing those of us who are agnostic, not atheists.
What is a fraud? asked Olenin.
Why, what the preachers say. We had an army captain in Chervlena who was my kunak: a fine fellow just like me. He was killed in Chechnya. Well, he used to say that the preachers invent all that out of their own heads. When you die the grass will grow on your grave and thats all! The old man laughed. He was a desperate fellow.
Oh how the powerless humans think they are as powerful as God. They are such fools.
I guess they are trying to be funny but it is really just sad.
Odd quirk of human nature.
Once you realize you’ve done something indefensible (i.e. deny God’s existence), you have two choices:
1. Repent, retract, redo.
2. Double down.
Obvious which way these poor morons are choosing.
“de-baptizing” by the use of heat.... how appropriate.
Okay, we have another definition of the phrase tragi-comic. In the Catholic Church, we are taught that Baptism cannot be undone. I’m less clear on the protestant denominations, insofar as unmaking Baptism, though I’m inclined to think that they’d feel the same as we do. It is both silly and sad that these folks feel the need to do this. And although I’m sure they wouldn’t like this, I’ll pray for them.
Hmm, I think he should have used a bright light instead of a hair dryer, i.e. the light of truth.
Like I’ve said before, they sure to make a big deal about NOT believing in something. I think they just want to find more people to unbelieve with.
Tell them not to bother. If all they got was a sprinkle on the head when they were a baby, it wasn’t a “baptism” anywise.
They’re definitely a cult.
The church of the everlasting stupidity.
Yeah. If they don’t believe then what is accomplished by this ritual? Most likely they do believe but are on the devil’s side.
If they really used reason, they would want to keep their Baptisms. Just in case.
So a good tool for de-atheizing the idjits would be a blowtorch?
Well said. One of the nastiest women I know is a homeschooler who is so intent on everyone knowing she does NOT homeschool due to religious reasons, yet she is heavily into mystical ideas of the sacred feminine and astrology.
Hmm...I’m trying to wrap my head around this. Sprinkling water on your forehead is silly but pretending to dry it off with a hairdryer years later isn’t silly? Work with me here...
I heard once that to argue for the existence of hell is unprovable, therefore, simply ask, are you sure there is NOT a hell?
