I’m not offended so much as disappointed.
“I did not say that in a condescending manner or demeanor..”
That isn’t the problem.
“I just suggested that you study the Holy Scriptures and see the contradictions in Catholic theology.”
I have studied the scriptures and have discovered there are no such contradictions. Your assumption that I have never studied scriptures and your assumption that there are contradictions between the faith and the word is what I have a problem with.
“I was born and raised Roman Catholic..”
I don’t care. That sort of a comment always seems to be a preamble to an expression of ignorance (and I am not trying to offend you).
“it wasn’t until I got serious about God and my relationship to him that I started reading the Bible and saw for my self the great contradictions...”
And there is the ignorance. I have studied the scriptures in some detail. I do not claim to be an expert, but I certainly have invested more time and resources (and prayer certainly) to the study of God’s Word than many other people have. What I have discovered again and again is that the Catholic Church has been right all along.
