Allure of "Twilight" sparks new trend. Teens bite one another to show ...
(Excerpt) Read more at comcast.net ...
A whole generation of teenage girls is absolutely swooning about the new vampire flick, Twilight, and its sequel, New Moon. Some are going to this movie in prom dresses, fantasizing about what it would be like to fall in love with a vampire! This is anything but a fantasy. It is a potential gateway to grave spiritual danger for lonely, isolated kids who are "spiritually hungry" enough to explore the occult -- Father Thomas J. Euteneuer, exorcist.
Whatever happened to hickeys?
Whatever happened to hickeys? And the dickeys that hid them ... :)
When you consider the fact the that human mouth on average contains more bacteria, protozoa, viruses, and fungi than a toilet seat, I don’t think this will turn out well. I wonder how many of these ‘kids’ will be going to the hospital with a septic infection.

Approximately 10-15% of human bite wounds become infected, and this considerable infection rate is multifactorial. Patients often wait until infection is established before presenting late in the course of their injury, thus necessitating medical attention. Wounds evaluated earlier are frequently more extensive than estimated on initial examination by the inexperienced observer and are frequently managed inadequately.
The bacterial inoculum of human bite wounds is rich in oral flora, as saliva contains as many as 100,000,000 organisms per mL, representing as many as 190 different species. Moreover, most of these injuries occur on the hands, and hand wounds of any cause have a higher infection rate than similar wounds in other anatomic locations.
The possibility of transmission of disease through human bites must be considered. Human bites have been shown to transmit hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes simplex virus (HSV), syphilis, tuberculosis, actinomycosis, and tetanus. Evidence suggests that it is biologically possible to transmit HIV through human bites, although this is quite unlikely.

The master of abortion, he's deluded these kids (for their whole lives) into thinking life (that of an unborn child) doesn't mean squat, so why should any "living" creature care about their own well-being or the health of anyone else, for that matter, either.
They should just french kiss then, right?
It’s kind of amusing that these teens think they want to be vampires..or be with a vampire forever. Yet a teens idea of “forever” is about 3-6 months....and attention spans of about 10 minutes. Oh well...Another stupid teen fad.....I have lived through a few and will probably see a few more.....
They should just french kiss then, right?I've never found anything particularly romantic (or loving!) about French kissing. It is shown more in porn movies (lust), soap operas (more lust!), etc. Biting goes off on a side road from French kissing, addressing the occult, in that it represents the actions of a vampire, germy and dangerous to one's soul (and body) indeed! Here's a good link: Thoughts on Chastity: The Joyful Virtue.
I forget what an “Ecumenical” thread means.
I don’t believe the Vampire Biting is really a “Twilight” phenomena. We’ve discussed this Biting and other Vampire activities for years before Twilight was written. There was a whole Vampire culture similar to the Goth set long before now.
And in fact, there is nothing in any of the Twilight books that would suggest that biting is a form of endeerment; it is portrayed as savage, brutal, and inflicting tremendous pain on the victim. None of the vampires who are couples in the book EVER bite each other for any reason, much less to show affection.
So in the end, I do not think we can blame the Twilight saga for teenagers biting each other.

From the Religion Moderator’s profile:
Ecumenic threads are closed to antagonism.
To antagonize is to incur or to provoke hostility in others.
Unlike the caucus threads, the article and reply posts of an ecumenic thread can discuss more than one belief, but antagonism is not tolerable.
More leeway is granted to what is acceptable in the text of the article than to the reply posts. For example, the term gross error in an article will not prevent an ecumenical discussion, but a poster should not use that term in his reply because it is antagonistic. As another example, the article might be a passage from the Bible which would be antagonistic to Jews. The passage should be considered historical fact and a legitimate subject for an ecumenic discussion. The reply posts however must not be antagonistic.
Contrasting of beliefs or even criticisms can be made without provoking hostilities. But when in doubt, only post what you are for and not what you are against. Or ask questions.
Ecumenical threads will be moderated on a where theres smoke, theres fire basis. When hostility has broken out on an ecumenic thread, Ill be looking for the source.
Therefore anti posters must not try to finesse the guidelines by asking loaded questions, using inflammatory taglines, gratuitous quote mining or trying to slip in an anti or ex article under the color of the ecumenic tag.
Posters who try to tear down others beliefs or use subterfuge to accomplish the same goal are the disrupters on ecumenic threads and will be booted from the thread and/or suspended.
So in the end, I do not think we can blame the Twilight saga for teenagers biting each other.NYer has a thread up on Fr. Euteneuer today. He's a "busy" exorcist requesting many more priests to help out (he's recently written a book as incentive to them), in part because of these movies/books. They can be a springboard into a further look-see of the occult.
Let me get this straight! In order to post on this thread I would have to be either FOR or AGAINST vampirism?
The "pro vampirism" posts should be very interesting. I will check back just to see them.
Ecumenical ping to the Inmans.
“They should just french kiss then, right?”
In french kissing, bacteria that gets into one mouth from the other will end up in the stomach where it is destroyed by stomach acid.
In biting, bacteria gets from a mouth directly into a blood stream.
