"Vatican Officials" say a lot of things. This man who is said to be an expert in demonology also claims to be an expert on the phenomenon of intelligent extraterrestrial life. We say they are supernatural in origin and the appearance of strange and foreboding lights in the sky are unfavorable signs.
Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a theologian member of the Vatican Curia (governing body), and an insider close to the Pope, has gone on Italiannational television five times, including recent months, to proclaim that extraterrestrial contact is a real phenomenon. Balducci provided an analysis of extraterrestrials that he feels is consistent with the Catholic Church's understanding of theology. Monsignor Balducci emphasizes that extraterrestrial encounters "are NOT demonic, they are NOT due topsychological impairment, they are NOT a case of entity attachment, but these encounters deserve to be studied carefully." Since Monsignor Balducci is a demonology expert and consultant to the Vatican , and since the Catholic Church has historically demonized many new phenomena that were poorly understood, [Like the historical propensity for the press to be leftist deceivers who herald new phenomena like Communism as saviours of mankind.] his stating that the Church does not censure these encounters is all the more remarkable.
Balducci revealed to a visiting American professional that the Vatican is closely following this phenomenon quietly. My informant originally surmised that the Vatican is receiving much information about extraterrestrials and their contacts with humans from its Nunciatures (embassies) in various countries.
Satan wants people to turn away from the truth. "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." (Romans 1:25).
"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."(2 Cor. 4:4).
"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." (2 Thess. 2:10).
What is this love of the truth that saves?
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(Rom. 10:9,10,13).
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast." (Eph. 2:8,9).
The love of the truth that saves is that we are saved by grace, not works. If a person is depending on their works to save them, they are not walking in the Truth of God's Word. If they are not walking in the Truth of God's Word, they can and will be deceived by Satan.
How is something not truth when the message is about praying and making sacrifices for others to turn away from sin? satan wants you to sin and not to pray for others

There has been a huge amount of disinformation and just plain hysteria surrounding this issue...but I guess that is just human nature.
The hysteria is easy to understand when one considers that, at one end of the human response continuum, this matter is perceived as utterly silly, while at the other end, it is so profoundly frightening that some people (abductees for example) find their lives and very concept of reality devastated.
BTW, David Jacobs (a professor of history at Temple Univ) has been studying this phenomenon from the cultural POV (i.e. he has kept his day job by saying he is studying the effects on popular culture of the phenomenon without addressing whether or not the phenomenon is real or imagined--initially at least).
I disagree with Jacob's treatment of the "aliens" as, well, space aliens (as you and I discussed)...but I think you'll find he has a rational and intelligent approach to this issue.

All of that includes denying oneself which includes prayer and sacrificing for the good of others.
Many credible witnesses (including Ronald Reagan and several astronauts, who surely know what they are talking about) have seen UFOs. The people who come to trash these threads will never look at the tons of evidence, so let’s just ignore them and they will go away. They hate to be ignored.

I don’t believe that Satan has any compunction about using truth mixed with lies to bait people. HE quoted Scripture to tempt Jesus in the wilderness.
What’s it to him if he uses the truth, or miracles, when it can eventually result in the loss of someone’s soul?
I don’t know if you ever read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Certainly no one can make a claim of inspiration or infallibility about the book, it is fiction, but it is a fascinating read and gives some insight into what sorts of things could be going on in the spiritual realm. They make sense at any rate.
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Cor. 11:14,15).
Sounds like some comprehensive ASSUMPTIONS are in charge again.
1. The messages THE VATICAN INSTITUTIONS & officials LAYERED ON THE PHENOMENA are a whole DIFFERENT ISSUE.
2. It appears that any specific ‘messages’ . . . however arguable . . . are unlikely to have been the priority from the critters’ and satan’s perspective.
3. The main MESSAGE appears to have been to seduce thousands of people and now millions into giving credit as GODLY that which was under control of the evil one from the beginning to the end.
I’m still studying the two thick research reports. In due, course, Lord willing and there’s time and energy, I’ll post a significant set of summaries of such documentation. I believe it’s MORE THAN SUFFICIENT to stand up in a court of law.

can take a “soul” out of a human and put it into
1. a technology holder of same
or
2. a clone.
ASSUMING for a moment that such IS possible—very debatable, I’d think—but let’s assume it is possible—I don’t think God would allow such with those who have accepted Christ’s Blood as their Salvation and covering.

Are you really expecting a Christian to believe that satan tells someone to pray and sacrifice for others and not for them to sin and somehow by saying this it's going to trick them into losing their soul?

Thinking of their work, the focus is to expose what is being taught and that it is a lie, a deception, and then to lead people to the Truth. What I have seen through out this thread is an effort to show the reality of UFOs and ETs as something that is true and something to be feared...see posts 204, 205, 206, 209, 214, and 220...as well as comments that have been made by yourself and others on this thread...”many credible witnesses have seen UFOs”...”tons of evidence”...”warehouses full of evidence”...”to be avoided at all costs”...there was even some statement about mutilated or slaughtered animals and humans.

The danger of ETs and UFOs are not a one world government or forced allegiance to a new world order or anything of the like...this affects the body but not the soul...the danger is in people accepting them as reality (truth) and then fearing them instead of fearing God which then puts their souls at risk.

I would agree with the statement that I believe you made that ETs are fallen angels; as a result I have NO fear of anything an “ET” could do to me, since they can not take my soul. They are just another part of satan’s deception to pull people away from God, and that should be our focus about them not all the “sci-fi” type details that will just get more people interested in “finding out more” about them...thus feeding the deception.
