Victimology has become such a popular unspoken movement. It's the social art of developing notoriety, popularity and credulity by becoming one of the "great oppressed peoples". Gain sympathy, and you don't need strength of character.

Up until 1990, their temple endowments (where they learn the secret handshakes that get them into their Heaven), Protestant ministers were portrayed as ‘hirelings of Satan’.
http://www.lds-temple.org/
has the text of all the different ‘endowments’ and the changes, including the oath of vengeance against the United States for killing Smith.

What's more, is many Lds quotes like these are of Lds "scripture" -- and are quite specific about Christian "churches." (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith - History, for example; 1 Nephi 14:9-10 in the Book of Mormon is another example)
Whereas many opinions about the Lds church are conjecture based upon a failure to match the original; Mormons go one step further and claim their slander is rooted in their god!

"The Roman Catholic, Greek, and Protestant church, is the great corrupt, ecclesiastical power, represented by great Babylon...." (Orson Pratt, Orson Pratt, Writings of an Apostle,"Divine Authenticity," no.6, p.84)."One of the more relevant "money" quotes in regards to which church(es) are the so-called "Whore of Babylon".

"And any person who shall be so wicked as to receive a holy ordinance of the gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent of the unholy and impious act." (Orson Pratt, OP-WA, "The Kingdom of God," no.2, p.6)"This one is especially relevant because of all the wailing about the "anti's" being "judgemental". I do believe that this statement plainly states that any non-mormon has been "judged" by the mormons already.

Are there even any mormons left around here to insult?

Na. Nothing to worry about. They have all kinds of training for missionaries, handbooks for apologetics, and most excellent professionals at organizations like F.A.R.M.S. to equip them.
e.g. How to Think of Quick Witted Comebacks
1
-
A
First and foremost, you need a quick mind. If you do not already have a smart mind, this guide is potentially useless. A good way to get around this problem is to amass a collection of as many good comebacks as you can find; you can usually modify them for different circumstances.
2
Don't listen. This really can work sometimes. For example: Person: You are such a loser! You (to your friend): Do you hear something?
d
Send their insult back at them. For example: Person: "You are such a loser." You: "If I'm a loser, then I'd hate to know what you are!" However, retaliating often results in an argument that nobody wins and makes you the lesser person. And it is usually what they want to happen.
…
Use the one line that almost never fails: "You wanna bet?" If they say yes, go up to someone and ask them if they think you are whatever the person said you are or do. For example: Person: "You are so gay!" You: "You wanna bet?" Person: "Yeah, OK!" You: (go up to someone and say): "Do you think I'm gay?" And then you can take it from there. Beware - the other person may agree and you'll end up a laughing stock.
um
Say,"It takes one to know one." And smile smugly.

Call names...when appropriate. Calling them ignorant or arrogant is great, so long as you don't say it in a nerdy way. Then it sounds like you're a geek who swallowed a dictionary.
#
If you are not very quick-witted, you might want to try practicing raising one of your eyebrows (or just an expression that clearly conveys you are not impressed). When someone insults you, just look at them, and raise an eyebrow. You can add a sarcastic 'O.K' or a 'Riiight', or you can just smirk/laugh at them, shake your head, or roll your eyes at them and walk away.

No one complained. I pulled your post because it was too personal to leave up.
If you cannot or will not comply with the Religion Forum guideline to discuss the issues, not make it personal, then leave the thread.

Did you read posts 8, 10 and 11?
“Are there even any mormons left around here to insult?”
And Reaganuts response, “More than you would think. We can ping them if you would like.” At which point she pinged me. This whole thread is nothing more than personal insults to Mormons, and a former Mormon, me.
Then you deleted my post which was essentially “Christianity isn’t the problem. Stupidity is, otherwise religion would’ve been banned centuries ago”
Why do you allow posts that are essentially religious bigotry to to stand and and delete posts that make fun of the religious bigots?

If that were all you had to say, neither post would have been pulled.
But calling another Freeper your personal play toy is a threat to make this and other threads "about" another Freeper which is in defiance of the Religion Forum guidelines to not make things personal.
And calling another Freeper an "ignorant cretin" is both mind reading and a personal attack. And finally, calling any group of Freepers "a festering pustule on the ass of humanity" is both a personal attack and potty language.
This is the Religion Forum on Free Republic. Like liberals are trolls on Free Republic, atheists are trolls on the Religion Forum of Free Republic. Because you are an atheist, you have a very short leash on this forum.
Either comply with the Religion Forum guidelines or leave the thread.
