One of the very best reasons to partake in the Internet, is to click into Fr. Mark Kirby's blog. Thanks for the post!! During the summers my husband joins me walking the dogs on the way to daily Mass as we recite the rosary. We pray a particular amount for a woman that lives in one of the homes we pass. She has battled cancer for quite some time, and her daughter is our daughter's best friend. I found out her son was married recently in OUR church, even though his family is [strong] MS Lutheran. I said, "Oh, so your son married a Catholic?" And the father said, "Yes, and my son's a Catholic now too." I said with a smile, "I guess my rosaries have been working." I then smiled more broadly and said, "I'm just giving you the business. But I've indeed been praying for your wife's health every day as I pass by your home." :):)
You never know what avenue your prayers are taking, and while Christian friends are nice to have on this earth, there really is only one friend you Truly need, and that is Our Eucharistic Lord. And in partaking of His Body, of course, His mother is never very far away either ...
