I can see why you were drawn to MOrmonism. It encourages self righteousness, pride, lack of Biblical understanding, and is universalist. The LDS god is not omnipotent, was once a man, promises Godhood, and isn’t jealous or just or holy.
He is NOT the God of the Bible.
Jesus died for you, why do you spit on Him and say you have to do works to get back to God?
My Jesus loves you, He suffered and died for you, but as long as you reject Him (and by being LDS you ARE rejecting Him) then YOU WILL SUFFER HIS WRATH.
Make no mistake, God is JUST and HOLY as well as MERCIFUL. You only seem to see mercy and that is a heresy as well.
