but being invited to a Christian Church is like having water thrown on her to a mormon...

caww let me explain about my comment...

a while back Sandy complained that a female mormon missionary friend of hers had water thrown on her by Christians in Germany when she was prolytizing door to door anhd telling German Christians that they would go to Hell if they didnt worship Joey Smith...

Sandy impressed on us that the most evil and worse thing that could ever happen to anyone was to be the recepient of a glass of water...

the thread and/or section of that htread was about the Mountain Meadows Massacre and Sandy had rejoined with the sad tale about her dear friend...

You see to the mormon mind water is more dangerous than bulleyts...

Bullets will only kill you dead...

water is like garlic or the Cross to the mormon god...it is an insult...and how dare anyone do that ???

Hummmm, I don't think I saw your comment and it's gone now.

As for Sandys experience.... in this secular/socialist world we live in now having strangers come to your door is more than a little concerning.......For that reason I would assume the leadership of their church would not send their people out apart from preparing them for unwelcoming receptions...or even hostile ones...especially in a foreign country such as Germany. So this should not have been alarming to a mature and prepared individual.

However,... when you add to these dynamics, which her friend did, (after the people had given her the benefit of the doubt and opened their door to her), that they were going to Hell she indeed created an extremely volatile situation. She is fortunate it was simply a glass of water and not something far worse regardless of what her belief system was......so she had zero critical thinking concerning her visit there.....which placed herself in very real danger.

I am not familiar with the Mountain Meadows Massacre by name, but if it follows the overall trend of the history of mormonism it was likely a bloody mess when all was said and done. Counterfeit cults/religions can and do take life....mentally and physically.

For any religion/church to put fear in an individual, via water, garlic, a cross, or other tangible items... they have crossed the line of anything remotely Christian and are adhering to the middle-age era of thinking and beliefs at best...and those were full of pagan sorcerer's, demonic ghosts, occultic worship and the like. They didn't call that time the “dark ages” for nothing.

You wrote....”Sandy impressed on us that the most evil and worse thing that could ever happen to anyone was to be the recipient of a glass of water.”.......Most people would have difficulty not laughing for such a statement...and I have a good feeling someday Sandy will indeed look back in amazement that she spoke this way... let alone believed it.
Sandy sounds very young...is she?

It is truly heartbreaking to see a church who claims the banner of Christ to create such nonsense...,and it is just that,.....to play with and manipulate the minds and hearts of people who were at one time searching for the truth. There journey was sabotaged by the father of lies....but then we are not to be ignorant of satans devices.

These people have not only been deceived and lied to greatly, but they are pushed to the brink to peddle satans wares to others. For this God clearly warns.... that those who lead others to this fate will surely be judged much more harshly for doing so....of which there will be an accounting one day if they do not turn away from these teachers and teachings.. before it is to late.

May God truly reach down and rescue those who are willing to be rescued. But then it is a matter of being willing to turn....just one step away... and He will carry them the rest of the way back to Him. The decision is there's to make with promise He will meet them...and He never lies.
