after all she has only been there for ten years and she is only a female...

The problem with that theory is that I was female and only a member a few years when I was being told (by life long members) that I knew more than most members (and I did). So being female and a convert is NO excuse for not knowing (or trying to defend) your religion.

Well yes I was giving Sandy an “out”...
Laziness ???
Or maybe “playing ostrich” ???
If Sandy can avoid some of the blasphemeous doctrines she does not have to ackknowledge them the awfulness and unbiblical heresies they real are...
There is the story of the old lady who hated FDR (I think it was)
The morning after one of the elections she refused to listen to her sister tell her he had won again...
She felt that if she didnt know then FDR was not the president...
or something like that...
Then theres the great excuse the mormon leaders use to control their followers...
and make them keep on sipping on the Kool Ade...ala Jim Jones...
When the prophet speaks the thinking has been done...
and theres also that bit about the mormon falling into apostacy and sin if they research the truth of mormonism for themselves...
it can be scary stuff when your whole salvation is based on what crazy thing a man said after he wet his finger and put it in the air rather than on what Jesus who is God said 2,000 years ago about Himself..
The Christian Gospel has never been lost or changed in 2,000 years
Mormonism on the other hand has changed hundreds of times each time another false insane utterance from a demon possessed man has been accepted as mormon doctrine ...
Is it any wonder the followers of Joey Smith like Sandy are “scared” and “frightened” and unsure of their personal salvation ???
The morning after one of the elections she refused to listen to her sister tell her he had won again...
She felt that if she didnt know then FDR was not the president...

Well, I can understand that. I felt if I didn’t watch TV on Jan 20th 2009, then Obama wouldn’t be president.
and theres also that bit about the mormon falling into apostacy and sin if they research the truth of mormonism for themselves...

That is certainly true. I was told to ‘put it on a shelf’ and not to ‘think myself’ out of the LDS church.
Funny in over 15 years as a Christian, and degrees in Theology, I STILL haven’t ‘thought myself’ out of Christianity. That right there shows that Mormonism is not of God.
