"alter Christus" does not mean "another Christ."

The Latin phrase for "another Christ" is "alius Christus" not "alter Christus."

The medieval Latin word "alter" means "likeness." The job of a priest (like that of all Christians) is to emulate Christ. More specifically for priests, to offer the Mass like Christ offered the Last Supper.

In 1 Corinthians 11:1 St. Paul specifically calls himself such an emulator of Christ.

Is it pigheadedness to continue to repeat a lie when one has been informed at least 20 times that "Alter Christus" means acting in the place of Christ and not becoming another Christ or is it simply malicious?
