An Italian Vatican expert is saying that Bishop Luigi Padovese, Apostolic Vicar of Anatolia and President of the Turkish Bishops Conference, canceled his trip to Cyprus because he feared that his driver who later confessed to killing the bishop- might attempt an attack on Pope Benedict XVI during his stay on the island.
Analyst Fr. Hmmmm. Most curious, particularly the fact that the Turkish gov't appointed the driver in the first place.
TROP: the simplest explanation in cases like this.
Why some folks want to make it complicated eludes me.
Nothing ever comes up when I do a search! Maybe it’s me...
Well the mask has at last fallen off the face of the Turkish government, not only with this tragic stabbing death of this bishop, but also in its efforts to break the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
