Im holding in my hand my black hardcover copy of Mormon Doctrine by Bruce R. McConkie, one of Mormonisms most influential books, an all-time Mormon bestseller, which went out of print this week.
A book written, Im sure, with the best of intentions by a revered Mormon leader. And, still, a book that continued to circulate even after other high-ranking Mormon leaders recommended more than one thousand corrections to its content.
A book that called Roman Catholicism the Church of the Devil. And a book that elevated to doctrinal status non-doctrinal folklore about the origins of the LDS Churchs ban on conveying priesthood authority to members of African descent, claiming that blacks were the descendents of the accursed Cain.
A book that due to its authoritative presentation and doctrinal fundamentalism gave many Mormons reasons for grief.
Mormon Doctrine (1958 2010), RIP.
I will give an account for the things that I’ve done, but this will not be the deciding factor of my salvation! Jesus paid for my sins (on the cross, not in the garden) and I have eternal life through his blood.
Joseph will not be there as a deciding factor!!!
Those pictures just make me throw up!
I pray that these guys come to my house so we can talk about salvation, err (the impossible gospel of Mormonism).
I too belong to a Christian Church - all of which were called apostates by the cultist, Smith.
But to be more specific...
I belong to the Church that Jesus Christ founded.
It is His bride.
It is composed of all those who have trusted the Biblical Christ to pay for their sins and give them eternal life - apart from works
It is the same Church Jesus said could not be prevailed upon by the Gates of Hell.
It is the Church that will be resurrected and meet Him in the air.
It is the Church He made holy.
And if there is any mormon reading this who is interested in being part of this Church, I would consider it an honor to explain how they could join.
LOL. Not as bad a deer. UGH.
I believe there is a very strong higher being that doesn’t ask me for money. Should I choose to give to any charity it is unconditional. Lack of money keeps me out of finer Broadway shows, finer restaurants and elitist gatherings.
Lack of money cannot stop me from observing and partaking in what that higher being has created.
I guess you can call me a PROUD APOSTATE.
That is the one thing I find most insulting about Mormonism and their slander of Christ. their “doctrine’ completes negates the sacrifice that Christ made and dismiss it's value.
All while claiming his name and trying to portray themselves as “Christian”...
I pray that these guys come to my house so we can talk about salvation, err (the impossible gospel of Mormonism).

I always invite them over for dinner. I never let them pray (we do the praying) but they are always hungry and I have them as a captive audience for 2 full hours with no excuse that they have ‘another appointment’.
Great witnessing time.
That "attitude of superiority just keeps on shining through...
Inmans, Roll Call!
Blood bought and paid for member of THE BODY OF CHRIST! But I worship at a Southern Baptist Church even though I am not a memeber of that congregation.
Seems some folks...don’t like to answer questions that mess with their viewpoints, eh?

That’s great, I also invite them in during the summer (Texas heat) to share the real Jesus with them (not Lucifer the spirit brother of Jesus).
When you were LDS how did you deal with Isa. 43:10 & 44:6? I ask them are they a god now? If not how will they ever be a god?
God has always been God! Psalms 90:2
Joseph lied
That “attitude of superiority just keeps on shining through...
What did Joseph mean when he said that “all churches are wrong and all their creeds are an abomination”? Is that an “attitude of superiority”?
He also said that he had more to boast about and did “more for the church than Paul, Peter and even Jesus”?
Didn’t God say humble yourself so that you will be exalted in due time?
Was Joseph humble?

Puting on my ‘mormon hat’
Isa. 43:10 - “You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
Isa 44:6 - “This is what the LORD says
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
My response would have been that Isaiah is talking about OUR GOD, that even though there are many other Gods (gods many and lords many) that WE (on this earth) only have ONE God we worship (God the Father, btw not Jesus Christ) and that also explains why the scriptures only talk about one God mostly. The LDS quote goes something like this “But FOR US there is only one God”.
In response to Psalm 90:2 - it would have been ‘one eternal round’ or ‘from everlasting to everlasting’ is just a way of saying a REALLY REALLY long time. An eternity to us, but to God it really doesn’t mean ‘eternity’. They basically redefine ‘eternity’.
Hope this helps.
You have FReepmail.
OUCH!
And why can't YOU ever point to any truth that's been DISTORTED?
HELL!!
You don't even know what was UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANism and yet you try to tell folks on FR that you WERE one for YEARS!!
