Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem~Shavuot 5770~ The First Fruits

The Book of Ruth

Chapter Two

Ruth Gleans in Boaz' Field

1. Now Naomi had a kinsman of her husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech, whose name was Boaz.

2. And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after one in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."

3. So she departed and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.

4. Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem and said to the reapers, "May the LORD be with you." And they said to him, "May the LORD bless you."

5. Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"

6. The servant in charge of the reapers replied, "She is the young Moabite woman who returned with Naomi from the land of Moab.

7. "And she said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' Thus she came and has remained from the morning until now; she has been sitting in the house for a little while."

8. Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Listen carefully, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field; furthermore, do not go on from this one, but stay here with my maids.

9. "Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Indeed, I have commanded the servants not to touch you. When you are thirsty, go to the water jars and drink from what the servants draw."

10. Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?"

11. Boaz replied to her, "All that you have done for your mother-in-law after the death of your husband has been fully reported to me, and how you left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and came to a people that you did not previously know.

12. "May the LORD reward your work, and your wages be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge."

13. Then she said, "I have found favor in your sight, my lord, for you have comforted me and indeed have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants."

14. At mealtime Boaz said to her, "Come here, that you may eat of the bread and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers; and he served her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied and had some left.

15. When she rose to glean, Boaz commanded his servants, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not insult her.

16. "Also you shall purposely pull out for her some grain from the bundles and leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her."

17. So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.

18. She took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. She also took it out and gave Naomi what she had left after she was satisfied.

19. Her mother-in-law then said to her, "Where did you glean today and where did you work? May he who (I)took notice of you be blessed." So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked and said, "The name of the man with whom I worked today is Boaz."

20. Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, "May he be blessed of the LORD who has not withdrawn his kindness to the living and to the dead." Again Naomi said to her, "The man is our relative, he is one of our closest relatives."

21. Then Ruth the Moabitess said, "Furthermore, he said to me, 'You should stay close to my servants until they have finished all my harvest.'"

22. Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maids, so that others do not fall upon you in another field."

23. So she stayed close by the maids of Boaz in order to glean until the end of the barley harvest and the wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

Here is the link that I captured them from. It doesn’t say who the artist is, but I didn’t search the link. Perhaps you will be able to find out. (I’m on my way out for the afternoon.) Have a blessed Friday!

" ________________________________________________________ Beautiful. Very quickly Ruth's favor of Naomi is returned to her ... unexpected. God works in mysterious ways His will to accomplish. Let us look to God in Joy, Hope, Love, obedience to His Word, in faith and trust. Holy Holy Holy are You Father God, we look to you for eternal life, heavenly Splendor with You in Peace, faith, trust, mercy and forgiveness.

Great is Our God, Worthy, Worthy Worthy is He. Thank You for the multitude of blessings that You give us everyday, LORD. Of our self we can do nothing. We are Your people. Fill us with a measure of the Holy Spirit, keep us in You will and forgive our transgressions as we forgive those that transgress against us.

We look too You,LORD, bless America, Israel, Jerusalem Muslims, persecuted believers of the world, the lost, the hurting, the seekers, in Jesus name amen.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And pray that we the people wake up and see that by not standing with Israel our govenment is cursing our land and they we return to God our father for our savaltion and restroration.

Here is book I found that documents well each time that Jerusalem is meddled with that catastrophy happens to those that would try and take the land from the Jews. God’s chosen people.

The Isreal Omen
http://israelomen.com/

About the Book
Something very strange has been taking place in the world. It has gone largely unnoticed because the events in question have been separated, in some cases, by years. It began in 1991 and continues to this day.

Since 1991, the timing of a number of catastrophic events closely mirrors the timing of actions taken that would be considered negative for the state of Israel.

These events are well documented. Since 1991, there have been ten documented catastrophes that have occurred with timing that has coincided with efforts to remove the “Promised Land” from Israel. Long ago, the ancient Hebrew scriptures warned of cataclysms that would result from these actions against Israel.

But, there is more. Straight from the pages of these ancient Hebrew scriptures and into today’s headlines is an international group which was described in detail over 2500 years ago. It now appears that the actions of this group may impact the world in a way never before imagined.

The Israel Omen explores the connections between the prophecies of the past and the events of today. Read it and you may never see news about the Middle East or catastrophes in the same light again.

About the Author
Born and raised in New Orleans, David Brennan attended the University of New Orleans where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Since 1992 he has studied Bible prophecy as it is related to current international political issues.

Ruth's modesty, humility, and gentleness is so evident all through this Book!
Perhaps that is why I love this Book of the Bible so very much.
And you are right, it does not take long at all for the LORD to honor her for these qualities.

Sometimes it takes longer.

And that is where ANOTHER Fruit of the Holy Spirit, Patience, (also called "Long Suffering" in the King James Version), comes in.

Thank You for Your Prayers, Geologist!

I don't doubt it, Captain Beyond.

And in the Seventh Century started a particularly nasty curse that has plagued the peoples and descendants of those who enslaved, battled, exiled, captured, oppressed, or stubbornly refused the Jewish People their Promised Land.

Egypt, Babylon, the Canaanites, The Philistines, Persia, Syria, Lebanon, Moab, Edom, and Arabia are all under this curse.

The Balkans are under the Curse now.

Great Britain, Germany, France, The Low Countries, and Scandinavia are currently feeling it begin to sweep over them.

This is why I pray for our OWN Country every day as well.

Another outstanding thread, meaningful paintings that bring Scripture to life.

We have no idea just how difficult it must have been (and still is in certain lands) to live in such strict caste systems, where social strata are clearly and narrowly defined. So, with that in mind, I give praise and humble thanks to our Father for blessing us with such a land and way of life, we must retain it for his glory. I thank You Abba for the bountiful harvests, full grocery store shelves and other gifts that we take for granted.

Let us keep Jerusalem foremost in our prayers, as we are admonished to do; for the good of all, to secure His blessings and that we might walk more circumspectly and humbly, not taking for granted these gifts and always reaching out to others to share them but to also present his Word boldly and unapologetically but with true Christian love.

Thank you LTOS, and AMEN.

Ruth was a Gentile Bride.

Specifically, a Moabite! And Boaz's mother Rahab was a (former) prostitute and a Canaanite from Jericho.

Rahab ad Ruth, two of the four Women in the Genealogy in the First Chapter of Matthew.

The other two women mentioned were Bathsheba and Mary of Nazareth.

Thank you for visiting and praying with us today, pray4liberty!
