Signature of Controversy is a new e-book that counter-argues to criticism of Stephen Meyers book Signature in the Cell.
It consists of various essays by David Berlinski, David Klinghoffer, Casey Luskin, Paul Nelson, Jay Richards, Richard Sternberg and Stephen Meyer.
Here is a paragraph from the intro:
Published in 2009, Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design is recognized as establishing one of the strongest pillars underlying the argument for intelligent design. To call the book fascinating and important is an understatement. No less interesting in its way, however, was the critical response and it is with that this book is concerned. For the fact is that despite SITC being written about in print and online by numerous friends and foes of intelligent-design theory, few - if any - of the critics really grappled with the substance of Meyer's argument. This is remarkable and telling. In this digital book which includes live links to the critics' own writings, defenders of SITC analyze the hostile response.[find the download hyperlink at the article]

Yesterday, I downloaded the free e-book, Signature of Controversy: Responses to Critics of [Stephen Meyer's] Signature in the Cell, D. Klinghoffer, ed., 2010. I am enjoying it immensely.
It deals with the methodological naturalist (first-life from spontaneous chemical evolution) vs. intelligent design approaches to understanding the origin of life.
I told a friend about it. He wrote back, indicating it is not his cup of tea. So I gather he didn't read it. I suspect now he's back hiding under the bed again, as usual trying to conceal himself from the very God he denies.... But I digress....
The book is 105 pages of amazingly lucid writing accessible to the non-specialist, general reader.
Anyhoot, I highly recommend the free e-book. Dear reader, if you have the time and interest, it pays good dividends....
Thank you so very much, MarianoApologeticus, for posting this!
Just noticed, it's worse than that you posted this in May of 2010!!!

So much reading backing up! I’ll have to live to be 120 in order to get it all read. Oh well, may as well get to it.
Thank you so much for the book recommendation, dearest sister in Christ! It’ll be on my list when I surface from all the family things going on.
