The 3:30 Beads
A few days back, on May 10, Irisshlass commented to me;
Maybe we Catholics here can form a prayer group and at a certain hour of the day or night, we all say our rosaries in our home. Even though we are not together we are in heart ...Although I am not a speck Irish, my husband's roots (he's a "Grogan-O'Toole") have worn off on me a bit, and I could hardly think of denyin' the suggestion of an "Irisshlass." So without further ado[s], here are the "rules."
Join us in saying a Rosary every day at 3:30 p.m. (your time zone). The Rosary will be recited for the conversion of the world -- add in your own personal intentions as well, and we, as a group then, will *all* be praying for those intentions. If you can't make the 3:30 time slot, pray when you can and alert Our Lady as to your "group." If praying the entire Rosary is too daunting a task, just say one Decade; one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, one Glory Be. If that's too much, just one Hail Mary (for starters!) is fine too.
Fr. Corapi's Virtual Rosary site which is very easy to follow: Link.
Another site with the full Rosary on tape form in addition to Gregorian Chant, Chaplet of Divine Mercy (which can be said at 3:00). Link.
Keep in mind you can say the Rosary at all times that aren't distracting. That is to say, walking/walking the family pet, driving/driving to or from work, swimming/running, etc.
Thank-you Mlizzy...God Bless You :)
I really like this idea! Also, the idea of just saying a decade at a time is a good one, for those who cant carve out the fifteen minutes or so needed to say a full Rosary. Over a Mon-Fri, theyll have said a full Rosary, and could do another full one over the weekend!As a coincidence [but I don't *really* believe in them :)], Fr. Corapi said Saturday night on EWTN during one of his talks, to pray the Rosary, pray the Rosary, pray the Rosary ... but if you can't say the full one, say a decade, and if you can't do that, say just one Hail Mary a day. It brought him back from a 20-year absence from the Church, where he spiraled out of control and eventually was a drug addict, living on the streets. His earthly mother sent him a card with the Hail Mary printed on it, asking him to say the prayer once a day. He decided to do so. He was thankful she sent the card, because even though he was taught in Catholic schools, he had forgotten the words to the Hail Mary. The one Hail Mary a day led to his moving back home, which led to Confession, which led to the Eucharist, and so on ... [I've taken Father's advice, and our entire family -- three are away from the Mass -- started yesterday saying together just one ... Hail Mary!].
I just have to join this group - I love you guys just from reading the posts!
Last night when I said my rosary (I usually cannot pray at 3:30 in the afternoon) I asked the Lord to unite my rosary to the ladies doing the 3:30 beads. I know the Lord can do that, even though it was 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.
As you said MLizzy, just one Hail Mary at 3:30 is helpful. Now if I can just remember! I need to tie a string around my finger or something.

Wow, that does sound very nice ... maybe I should put this on my Rosary site ... I’ll take a look-see on Amazon for it ...
I say mine on the way to work at 8:30 . . . but another one won't hurt! And it takes no time at all to say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 . . . . and my boss thinks I'm a bit strange anyhow.
Please put me on the 3:30 list!Excellent! Welcome! If you're not always able to recite again at 3:30, you can let Mary know the 8:30 one is for "the group." She'll know what you mean ... :):)
Excellent. Thank you!
