The 3:30 Beads
A few days back, on May 10, Irisshlass commented to me;
Maybe we Catholics here can form a prayer group and at a certain hour of the day or night, we all say our rosaries in our home. Even though we are not together we are in heart ... Although I am not a speck Irish, my husband's roots (he's a "Grogan-O'Toole") have worn off on me a bit, and I could hardly think of denyin' the suggestion of an "Irisshlass." So without further ado[s], here are the "rules."
Join us in saying a Rosary every day at 3:30 p.m. (your time zone). The Rosary will be recited for the conversion of the world -- add in your own personal intentions as well, and we, as a group then, will *all* be praying for those intentions. If you can't make the 3:30 time slot, pray when you can and alert Our Lady as to your "group." If praying the entire Rosary is too daunting a task, just say one Decade; one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, one Glory Be. If that's too much, just one Hail Mary (for starters!) is fine too.
Fr. Corapi's Virtual Rosary site which is very easy to follow: Link.
Another site with the full Rosary on tape form in addition to Gregorian Chant, Chaplet of Divine Mercy (which can be said at 3:00). Link.
Keep in mind you can say the Rosary at all times that aren't distracting. That is to say, walking/walking the family pet, driving/driving to or from work, swimming/running, etc.

I should buy one for Mr. trisham. He was an altar boy until 17.

It's a nice gift for Mr. trisham, indeed! When my husband purchased it for me, it was very much a surprise, and I love it!!

I carry a Miraculous Medal or two in my back pocket, to bring out and hold during key moments of the day. Overkill? Well, I do know that the devil would like you to think so. I enjoyed it. I told a Priest friend of mine about the 4 Miraculous Medals..He said, why not just one? I didn't know how to reply to that, but I'm glad I had the 4.

Me, too! Out of control unicycles require one; cars, on the other hand, require four ... :)

Anyone wishing to join the Irisshlass and myself for a daily group Rosary, please let us know by way of commentary. Like low-impact aerobic exercise (where all you have to do is pretty much stand there and breathe), one Hail Mary a day at approximately 3:30 p.m. (give or take twelve hours:)) will get you into this fine group. Of course, the full four mysteries a day is excellent as well, or anything in between ... Dear Lord Jesus, convert our country, and the whole wide world as well!

LOL
I'm off to join my daughter (she's home from college!) in swimming some laps, where I attempt to do the "Underwater Rosary." Ha! It's more like one reeeeeeally long "Agony in the Garden" ('cuz I can't count off tens and swim and the same time) ... but Mary appreciates, she sure does appreciate ...

I don’t believe it! My girls swam since they were six. I coached HS swimming..my one daughter swam for USA since 7th grade, she was allowed to swim for the HS then. We moved, the coaching is not great here and you had to be a teacher in order to coach. She almost went back to swimming in college but has transferred. We have sooooooooo much in common is mindblowing!

I supply the Quote of the Week by a saint for our weekly bulletin. Just sent that one by Padre Pio in for next week. Thanks. (Goes with May)

Boy, that's for sure. After putting up the picture of the swimmer (which is no relation), I never thought in a million years you'd answer as you have. Therese started competitively swimming at 8 and swam on ISI/high school teams until she graduated. She didn't pursue it in college though (lots and lots of work!), because she wanted to play polo instead. She made it as a starter her freshman year; a great effort! I used to swim a little when I was healthier, then I had to give it up (inner ear probs), but lately, through prayer and good holistic meds, I'm back in the pool ... (This photo IS my daughter (left), btw.) What were your daughters' best events? (Please don't say 100/200 breast or 200/400 IM.) :):)

Freestyle...My younger the 200 or 500 Freestyle. Have you been to the doctor about your ear? That is a problem with swimming.

Yes, much doctoring/surgeries/hospital stays/bed rest (don't think I'll ever master a flip turn:)). I've finally found some answers though, but it took quite some time ... [looking for wood to knock on ...]

I have back problems, so I don’t do the flip either. I just swim freestyle with a Pull Buoy between my legs and just take my time.

Good morning Irisshlass (and group members, lurkers too!); Our son's graduation ceremony went as planned unceremoniously actually (the school didn't even have the "big screens" lit up showing a close-up of the graduate as he/she walked up to receive their diploma. The difference between his ceremony (he's in engineering) and my older son's ceremony (he graduated from art school) were like night and day with the way they were "produced," but the hotel room my son booked for my DH and me made us smile, as when we went up to the front desk to get the entrance key, we saw that our room number was 330. As in 3:30 Beads! And we *did* get our Rosary recitations in this weekend ... (The Rosary is great to recite during long road trips.):)
