**Prediction - this will prove to be as disastrous as the post-Vatican II changes.**

I don’t think so. I believe Bishops and priest learned their lesson and will explain that the Bliblical connection of the new liturgy will be pleasing to all. I expect them to do a lot of teaching on this. If they don’t , it’s their loss!

The changes are minor compared with the ones when the new mass was imposed on the Church. Those were almost as great as those that Cranmer and his buys imposed on the Church of England during the time of Henry and Edward.

I remember the 62 Missal, because when I started going to mass before I converted 5 years ago I was shocked that so much had changed from what I remembered from my youth (when I would go to mass with friends).

Currently we say “Lord, I am not worthy to receive you. Only say the word and I shall be healed.”

The 62 Missal said, “Lord I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. Speak but the word and my soul shall be healed.”

It’s obviously a direct quote from the centurion in the Gospel. It is my understanding that much of the ‘62 language will be incorporated again, although not completely.

I will be glad if there is an elevated tone. Of course, the people who have grown up with the later changes are going to be upset that they have to learn something new. My opinion is that they should be glad they aren’t going to be required to learn Latin. (When the Latin mass was approved, you should have heard the caterwauling from some of the older people in our parish, even though we don’t even have a Latin mass at our parish. One woman told me if they brought in Latin she would leave the parish. Good grief!)
