Dr. Kopp makes an excellent point. When someone makes an accusation about “Catholics” and I am a Catholic it is personal. When someone makes a false statement about what “Catholics believe” and I am a Catholic it is personal. When someone accuses Catholics of committing, endorsing or covering up grave evil and I am a Catholic it is personal. My ability to tolerate it because of the thickness of my skin does skin does not justify it.

I just reviewed the Religion Moderators posts. It seems a lot more Catholics are warned not to "make it personal" than those attacking Catholics in particular and Catholicism in general.

In their defense, this may just be due to the number of Catholic posters and how often they post. But I did not see very many warnings directed towards the usual suspects who post the continuous nonsense against the Church on these threads.

I stand with you, NL.
