I agree. Sister Mary Patrick, OFM, [R.I.P.] was a holy terror.

It was suicide to get on her bad side.

We couldn`t stop her nohow. Watch out!

If you bombed in class, your knuckles were soon red.

I don’t suppose there’s any chance of resurrecting Sister Mary Patrick and sending her over the the editorial and administrative offices? That I would pay to see. :D

Sister Katherine Marie was no sweetheart either. Built like a linebacker, spit when she yelled at you one inch from your face - and you dared not wipe it off while she was standing there - and was convinced you would understand the math problem better when your face was crammed into the blackboard with her hand at the back of your neck.

Not too many great memories of Catholic school. I don’t however think comparing the Church to terrorists and saying they must be “stopped” is a sensible or fair way to discuss a problem some may have with them. That’s just sensationalism and trying a bit too hard to get in the news, in my opinion.

Sister Christina could freeze you solid with just a glance. She has a normal wooden ruler for little raps over the knuckles and a yardstick for habitual miscreants. She marked harder than any teacher I have ever come across and she would not accept less then perfect. She was/is a big part of who I am today.

I admire and love her still and hope that she is resting peacefully with the Lord.
