The Catholic Church is the ONE and ONLY church that has stood solidly against abortion, contraception, stem-cell research, euthanasia, homosexuality, etc. etc.

Sorry, Dear Sister,
however, I believe the Assemblies of God and many others have done the same.
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
Really? The AG has stood against artificial contraception?
The AG has stood against ESCR?
If they have, bully for them!!!!
Catholic Ping
Please freepmail me if you want on/off this list
It is really sad that the writer of this article can’t think for himself. I guess he was taught to hate others from his teachers or his parents. Awfully tolerant of him isn’t it. Wouldn’t it be ironic is down the road, he meets a good Catholic woman who straightens him out?
This article could be used as a prime example of writing....sans ethics!
I don't believe you...
More than half of the American Catholics voted for baby killer Obama...
As is known by anyone, the priests, bishops, cardinals, etc., when charged with breaking celibacy vows, it is almost always a homosexual occurrence...And when caught, these clergy are shuffled around by apparently homosexual supporting superiors...
But hey, it looks good on paper...
Iscool, do you think Catholics are terrorists? Do you think the Catholic church should be “disbanded”? What do you propose to do with those of us who will die rather than apostatize?
I posted it in the hopes of getting a bit of backup. A single voice yammering in the wilderness that is this campus is generally ignored. If, however, the President (who seems, while I don't know him at all, to be a reasonably decent person) hears from twenty or twenty-five people about the rank idiocy of this article, he may well pay attention, as he has a track record of listening to people. I was, quite frankly, shocked that by yesterday afternoon, three people had posted comments on the article's site about the poor research and generally nasty tone of the article; I suspect that's an unprecedentedly high number for this very laid-back school. I've no delusions that this campus is suddenly going to develop ties with Rome. I'd be delighted to settle for a certain amount of civility in the school-sponsored newspaper as regards my faith.
Now I didn't say anything like that...I was only responding to this:
The Catholic Church is the ONE and ONLY church that has stood solidly against abortion, contraception, stem-cell research, euthanasia, homosexuality, etc. etc.
And for the celibacy and holiness of priests.
I can't help but chuckle every time I read this...

Oh, come on. There are plenty of priests who are both celibate and holy. I know several. One is the priest who used to be our pastor. He's in his late eighties now, kept going several years past retirement age. A dear, gentle, holy, deeply Christian man.
But don't try to make excuses in the confessional with him. He'll leave you feeling sheepish. (Not speaking from personal experience, of course. [cough])
Another is the man who writes this blog (he signs his posts "Frog's Hair").
I beg to differ. The Catholic Church has been around much longer and has much more creditbility than any other church.
OOOPS. sorry, I guess I read the list too quickly.
No. AoG is not against artificial contraception.
I’m still thankful that AG are faithful in their opposition to abortion anyways and can pray that they see the light in regard to contraception.
Are you familiar with the (Protestant-based) Quiverfull movement? http://www.quiverfull.com/
Well, a Catholic girl going to a Methodist school? What do you expect??
'course it could be worse, you could be going to someplace like Georgetown or dePaul or Notre Dame...I understand that those are far more hazardous to a soul's health.
Just because one teacher sexually abuses a student, does that make ALL teachers terrible? Does that make all public schools known as schools of ill-repute?
Emphasis on the “all” since you seem to be emphasizing the “all” with priests.
We really can’t apply generalities in these cases, can we?
i THINK I understand your perspective.
I’m sure it’s a great shock that it’s not exactly my own.
Blessings,
I think I ran across it once.
There’s certainly a family or 3 who seem to be practicing it in our congregation. Wonderful folks.
What about being against contraception?
Against embryonic stem cell research?
What about invitro fertilization?
Assemblies of God ARE NOT opposed to contraception or IVF:

They do seem to oppose ESC research.
