Sarah Palin has, in her inimitable way, moved the Army's decision to disinvite evangelist Franklin Graham from a Pentagon National Day of Prayer Service into Conservative Outrage of the Day territory. She writes:
His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion. Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we cant abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith?
Palin never names the comments -- Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, called Islam "evil" and "wicked" -- and leaves out the important point that Graham keeps talking like this. Here's Graham five months ago, criticizing President Obama for praising Islam.
[T]rue Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they've committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries.(continued)
