Don’t ask me where it came from, but that is what Fr.Z calls his little get togethers he has with readers of his blog when he is out and about. My guess is that there were about 90 or 100 folks at the Dubliner this afternoon after the Mass.
Did anybody kid Fr. Z about getting his favorite adjective into the broadcast? I detected a very slight pause before he uttered it = a pause for effect, perhaps.
I would bet it’s what Lewis Carroll called a “portmanteau word”, parts of two words run together - a marriage of “blog” and “picnic”.
