My excuse is that the "eucharettes" are grossed out by having to place Our Lord on my tongue. One freaked out so badly that he (he was a he, and a newbie) actually dropped the Host (I keep my hands up like a paten, so no serious harm done).

The H1N1 scare did give me an excellent excuse to swap lines to the priest.
