Interesting. My Wed. Bible Study class completed the study of Revelation in January, and they just chose to study Acts as the next class. My first question was, “What would our New Testament look like if there was no book of Acts?” Imagine going from John to Romans with no Acts in between. It had to be there.
That would be hard to imagine. Although Paul’s writings (some of them) precede the Gospels.
There’s more coming on this. Part 2 and Part 3 for sure.
I’ll be watching for them.

Yes, you and I know that, but the layperson probably would not unless they study more than most people do. I did my study of Paul under Dr. Paul Achtemeier, who I consider to be one of the most learned authorities on Paul’s writings. I think I enjoyed his classes more than any that I had at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond. I also learned more from his classes. He was a hard task-master, but fair.
Have you ever noticed a change in tone when the Acts change over from being written in the third person to being written in the first person? (i.e., "they" starts to become "we") (starts around when St. Paul and Silas visited Troas in Luke 16:9-11)

Not to be argumentative about it, but is this one approved? I do find all reports of apparitions of interest - and this one is generic enough it’s not so alarming - but it is nice to see investigation and approval just to be sure.
No, but I believe its being investigated . The messages have predicted haiti earthquake,chile earthquake, the attack on the pope and church and dozens of other areas and people. The recent ones are amazing he even predicted the volcano in iceland I have been following since last year and more so since the predictions are coming at month or 2 ahead of the events lately. He has for a least 23 years and there well documented

Also the way the Church works with cases for years the second coming could come be here sooner than any conclusion on this case, by the way this guy’s messages are coming in within a month or two - but some are predicting for years into the future. Get this! A message said that the polarity of the earth axis would change then a scientific paper came out after that confirmed it after the haiti and chile earthquake.

Yes. Some scholars say that in the first part Luke was writing what he had been related to him and picked up with the “we” when he wrote about what happened that he witnessed. Some say that it is two different writers. I’m in favor of the former theory.
I think your position is the more logical of the two and I tend to agree with you.
That also helps us understand why there were no more mentions of any of the other apostles after the events of Luke 15. When Paul and Barnabas departed Jerusalem, that would be the last Paul encountered any of the other apostles before meeting Luke in Troas...thus he (Paul) would have been unable to recount any of the other apostles' actions to Luke after that point in time.
The ramifications of that are, likewise, quite interesting.
Study of the Scriptures is the most interesting thing in the world to study. Sad that so many do not go to the effort. There is something new to discover every time you open the Bible.

Absolutely true for me. I led a group today discussing the readings for this upcoming Sunday. It is so special. I learn as much as I teach and facilitate. (If you don’t like to answer questions, then you wouldn’t like to be in my groups............I try to make people remember and look up things in the Bible. LOL!)
The readings for this next Sunday are from Acts, Revelation and John, but we were all the way back in Genesis doing research. Wow!
