MILWAUKEE — A neatly typed letter dated March 5, 1995, is addressed to the No. 2 man at the Vatican and recounts the story of a priest who preyed on deaf boys trapped in dormitories with no chance of escape...

Sounds like at least a 1/3 of them were straight up pedophiles.

Maybe this distinction between homosexual assault and pederast assault isn't really necessary since all homosexuality is a failure of a person's psychological maturation to make a successful transition through adolescence into adulthood. Homosexuality is rooted in pubescent self-love, and thus homosexuals are by inclination attracted to children, whether gay activists want to acknowledge that fact or not.

It's one reason why homosexual adoption is actually child abuse.

So it follows that homosexual men will be drawn to the male-only hierarchy of the priesthood where marriage and family are forbidden. And it likewise follows that those homosexuals will be attracted to children.

Thus at the heart of this scandal is both homosexuality and pederasty, which tend to go hand-in-hand.

you were asked a question, I did not accuse you of being a Satanic Atheist.

Do you proclaim to be a practicing Christian or are you a Satanic Atheist?

Close enough.

You need to study that scripture closely for you are the one that is constantly making condemning remarks against the Catholic Church and the Holy See.

The Holy See? What's the Holy See to a Christian?

You also will be standing before God one of these days.

What is that? A threat?

All men stand before God every day.

Thankfully, on Judgment Day I will be clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men.

"Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin." -- Romans 4:4-8

Protestants omit complete books from the Bible.

So what's your point?

Perhaps Rome found a loophole in thoes books that approve of the priests having sex with little boys?? A little personal purgatory for the kids ..

In the argument that we omit certain non-inspired books we must remember that the Catholic church just ignores them.

< astute observation Dr. E. In fact with men, really notice them -- they appear to act like, and want to be, 11 year old girls. The clothes they wear, the gossip, the hair, and collecting Barbies. And the proof that it's a lifestyle choice, is in the pudding-- they have convinced an entire generation to "try it", proving that they are not born that way

You need to do a bit more reading on this event. This is not just what the Vatican says it is what news reports say and it is what researching the facts will reveal.

And in 1995 CDF had no standing in abuse cases unless their was any abuse of the sacrament of confession. The Vatican curia that had responsibility for abuse cases which were forwarded to Rome (not all were.) was the Congregation for Clergy.

And you must have missed the statement of the Vicar General in the case which item by item lambasted the mistaken reporting of this incident and the corrections he offered.

You also manage to ignore the fact that the Bishop of the Diocese had authority over this priest and could have at any time suspended any minsterial activity (which he did) without waiting for Vatican input.

But as usual your Anti-Catholic bigotry does not permit inteference by any facts.

No Protestant has ever sexually abused a child. And no Protestant denomination has ever been part of any coverup of any abuse. For Protestants have imputed righteousness and therefore are covered by the holiness of Christ himself and therefore can not commit any sin that warrants hell. Gee I thought you would know this.

And I am not sure what or whom you meant we should forgive and forget. Forgive yes as CHrist tells us. But forget. I think we do so at our peril.

If the books are non inspired ignoring them should not be a problem.

Are you serious? http://www.reformation.com/
Welcome to a collection of news reports on ministers who have sexually abused children:

ALL Protestant denominations - 838 Ministers

147 Baptist Ministers

251 “Bible” Church Ministers (fundamentalist/evangelical)

140 Anglican/Episcopalian Ministers

38 Lutheran Ministers

46 Methodist Ministers

19 Presbyterian Ministers

197 various Church Ministers

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,286153,00.html

The mainstream media has all but ignored the recent Associated Press report that the three major insurance companies for Protestant Churches in America say they typically receive 260 reports each year of minors being sexually abused by Protestant clergy, staff, or other church-related relationships.

In light of the sex abuse scandal that rocked the Catholic Church beginning five years ago, religious and victims’ rights organizations have been seeking this type of data for years. It has been hard to come by since Protestant Churches are more de-centralized than the Catholic Church.

Child sex abuse by Protestant clergy difficult to document
Large number of denominations, nature of hierarchy make task elusive

But tracking allegations and confirmed cases of misconduct by Protestant clergy is an elusive task because Christianity’s other ecclesiastical division is wildly diverse, congregational and sometimes staunchly independent compared to Catholicism’s centralized hierarchy.

Ed Hart of the Central New York Baptist Association said all 42 churches in his jurisdiction outlined by Broome, Tioga, Delaware, Herkimer, Steuben and Oswego counties are autonomous. Local church leaders would handle complaints against pastors at the congregational level but would not be required to report anything to Hart or any other denominational officials.

GuideOne, headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, reported an average of 160 reports every year for the past two decades among its 45,000 clients

Among the 50 churches in the Central New York District of the Wesleyan Church, no allegations are currently under investigation, Superintendent Wayne G. Wager said.

Episcopal Church officials in Central New York have handled several allegations of alleged clergy sex abuse cases in recent years.

In late July, a retired priest was suspended for 20 years after a church investigation and four affidavits showed that Edward Putnam engaged in sexual activities with minors while rector at a church in Skaneateles from 1986 to 1993. Putnam, 66, was chaplain to the New York State Assembly in the 1990s.

In May 2006, Ralph E. Johnson voluntarily resigned without admitting guilt amid a diocesan investigation into sexual allegations involving a boy while Johnson was rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Owego in the 1970s.

NEW YORK (ABP) — ABC’s “20/20” examined the problems with clergy sexual abuse in the Southern Baptist Convention April 13, warning that some convicted “preacher predators” remain on an SBC’s list of ministers available for employment.

Featuring interviews with Southern Baptist Convention president Frank Page and clergy sex-abuse-survivor-turned-activist Christa Brown, the program investigated how denominations without hierarchical authority can protect vulnerable parties from abuse by ministers.

The show also featured footage of Ken Ward, a former Southern Baptist preacher from Texas who admitted to molesting 40 boys during his tenure. Ward served five years in prison and is now under house arrest.

Plenty more..when I have the time..I’ll post more for you.

yadayadayada.

"Mistakes were made." Same old/same old.

However, the euro stops at Ratzinger's desk.

"Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah." -- Psalm 52:1-3

Very true. Pathetic.

And that's what makes this priest sex scandal the business of all of us. We live in this society. We have a vested interest in weakening the homosexual agenda by working to decrease its numbers, not to look the other way when children are molested which does, in fact, increase the homosexual population.

Childhood is such a fragile time when imprints made on a child can have lasting affects. The left knows this and that's why they want to grab hold of our children at younger and younger ages.

Parents must be vigilant. Protect your children or we all suffer the consequences.
