My wife and I pray the rosary almost every day. It’s a powerful way to pray.

Finally, the terrible war was over. During those years, we lost all sense of excitement and adventure. All that concerned us was survival! We did survive, too. All returned to Canada in 1945, fully convinced that Our Lady had taken care of us.

Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.”

Bears repeating.

Yep we are praying the Rosary once to twice a day too.

Working in home it is easy to put Mother Angelica on reminder tv at set times and follow through.

I have been collecting beads/crosses ect for over a year to make Rosaries. (never beaded anything before)

Well after a year I have packed my beads ect for my next respite overnight and FINALLY decided how I was gong to start my Rosary making hobby.

First I will make Chaplet then move up to Auto and see where the Good Lord wills me to go from there.

I have a huge array of selections in beads/crosses/medalians to create from.

I got the idea of the Chaplet from the Irish time in history were that was the style to use since Rosaries were illegal.

Seemed fitting for this time in American History and one can carry them around town/work when busy and pray the Rosary too without having the whole strand.

I cried when I read this story. It was as if Our Lady was reminding me of the power of her prayer. Someone told my mother that if you really want something, say three rosaries a day, which I have been trying to do of late. Its really hard, especially if you’re working full-time, but I believe its the best way, to say “the full rosary.” And regarding Obama, Our Lady loves him, too, and would probably answer his prayer if he said a rosary devoutly. Yes, I know how impossible that seems. Maybe we should pray the rosary for his conversion. It couldn’t hurt.

Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

I was a teenger when WWII was being fought. I personally have heard many stories from soldiers returning from the war-—stories about the amazing things that had happened as a result of the rosary. I wish I had the time to write a small booklet of all the stories I have been told.

I have often thought that every time we pray the rosary we say the powerful name of Jesus 51 times (50 in the decades and 1 more time in the Creed). His Holy Name has such power.

And focusing on the events of his life, death and resurrection keeps us ever mindful of his mercy and grace.

Praise Jesus! My mother was in the Rosary Society, the Blue Army and The Franiscan Third Order, when this woman prayed nothing but miracles. One son lost at sea the coast guard gave up hope but she told them go back where to an area they covered before, then found him. My father had a stroke. While the doctor told my mother he would be like this for life. She said no way his the provider for the family. He was healed within a week went back to work. My brother was marine during the vietnam war. Came back alive which he did not understand until she told him she prayed that he would not have to kill or be killed by another, he was a radio operator which came out of no where for him to do which filled the requirement of her pray. Which is not to say anything bad about the others who died in the war because I believe theres no atheists in foxhole, if not all most met the Lord sooner. My brother became a deacon of the Church and had a Family. I could tell you more but when there’s too many coincidences God is the details! Amen! Thank you for this Post Also I just found out that a Mary B. has cancer in the hospital could you please hold her up in pray. A friend. And I have always hold up every pray on this thread before the Lord. Thanks again

The power of the rosary is undeniable. My husband and I just finished walking the dogs while reciting Our Lady's beads. We attend daily mass together and go to frequent confession as well. It's a recipe for joy (for ourselves and for others) even (especially!) in troubled times.

Ephesians6: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil
. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God:

Nothing here about Mary or the rosary.

God gave us ALL the tools necessary in His word

How did Jesus fight off the devil? Did he go to get His mother?

Mat 4:4 — But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Mat 4:6 — And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Mat 4:7 — Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Mat 4:10 — Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Mat 4:11 — Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

I lost the Rosary I had used for so many years, and I can’t find another that’s suitable for a man my age. Oh, well, I guess it’s dainty aquamarine glass beads.
