I deeply apprecaite your perspective.
Eschatology is one of the most precarious aspects of theological thought since it attempts to explain things that have not happened yet, and even when they do our language and understanding might be too limited to fathom them.
My main problem with the topic is that the west has often view the “last days” through an American perspective. The middle east climatic battles are read on what is America’s role.
My Orthodox Christian beliefs tend to view my Church’s role which says that we are Christians first, and nationalist (Americans) second.
Yet the Orthodox churches have a track record of preserving and redeeming local cultures. I hope you have folks preparing Turkish versions of your liturgies! I pray for the day when The Institutes of Biblical Law (the Calvinist world-view literature) is available in that language.
