Vanity: Is it just me or is anyone else seeing Ezekiel 38-39 shaping up??

Has anyone else read "Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenberg?? While I KNOW scripture will unfold EXACTLY as God fortold, it seems as though God has given Rosenberg a true gift. I can't help but think with the nuke treaty, this plane crash, they way Obama is turning his back on Israel, etc. that we are on the precepise of something HUGE and that it may be unfolding very close to what Rosenberg wrote. Rosenberg is not the authority, God's word is, but I really feel God has given him the gift to take scripture and current events and tie them together. Does anyone else see this?? What are your thoughts???

The Lord led a number of WELS missionaries . . . into a fuller understanding of Holy Spirit’s part in our Christian lives in this era as well as Biblical prophecy.

I found WELS folks to be precious in a long list of ways.

I found their theology about such matters horrifically dreadful.

And the FELLOWSHIP DOCTRINE to be a hypocritical stinking pile.

Hi Quix...yeah..”a heart panting after God” David knew this well but what was even better was God new that David was doing just that.

I recall easily my hunger for the Lord...How can it be descibed really? I just new things had certainly changed after my salvation...the scriptures I couldn’t understand before seemed easy to grasp...Big ah hah moments as I read.
Couldn’t get enough of reading...and I had read some books before I couldn’t put down for long...this was off the map!

And you know though He and I have now settled down to that comfortable understanding between us mode....He still never ceases to amaze me and His words are all the more beautiful to me...even when I might not like what they are saying.... Our relationship gets interesting then...tsk tsk...

My son once said “... you talk about God like He is standing right next to you”....what a great compliment from one you have raised.

I am the first generation to believe and follow Christ, that I know of, in my family. My kids follow Him as well, and I am seeing my young grandchildren come to Him one by one....you can imagine my delight! There is nothing better in life than knowing He lives in my kids and their children will affect their generation after I am gone. Which will be quite awhile as I had children at a young age. When my sons were teenagers their friends thought I was my sons dates!!! Ha! Use to irritate them! I just chuckled.

I'm assuming you mean those who think Israel has been replaced by those in the church age? I don't believe this as it goes completely against a host of scripture otherwise...and I have looked carefully at their point of view. There are so many holes in their, shall I say, theory. But I was willing to investigate replacement theology, as it is sometimes referred as. To me it's rather like the differences between Creationism and Evolution...it's that broad of a difference but people will argue it to the point of almost death.

I was once taught by a woman who believed that...she was very strong in the things of God and I admire her to this day, but we do part company on this issue. Our debates proved interesting as she actually began to question what she has believed for many years.

BTW Quix my conversion to Christianity was over 20 yrs. ago but I can remember and appreciate where I was then and where I am today...He still moves me and His word is still a treasure to behold. Neither of which grow old but are sincerely new every day....except during those dry spells. Took sometime for me to realize that during those times we learn to truly walk and live by faith alone. But like all spiritual things learned it isn't exactly comfortable going thru some of them.

......God stretches us....when He raises the bar....just as with an athlete running a race.
