It will be interesting to see Time Mag’s and CNN’s current take on Archbishop Gomez as Archbishop of Los Angeles.

My hope is that he sticks to Catholic orthodoxy and that he communicate to the archdiocese the essential Catholic teaching of salvation as required a shepherd of the Church.

Still, I wish Mexicans would fix the problems that are forcing their population to flee. I’m not assuming it will be easy. If the problem is too big, ask for assistance. Perhaps I’m not seeing the tremendous complexity here, but don’t move the problem...fix it.
