As the world celebrates Palm Sunday this Sunday, let us not forget the false perception that the 2.5 million visitors (Jews and Gentiles) from all around the land of Israel and the of the world had that day - the Week of the Passover . The countless multitudes in Jerusalem at that time had totally misunderstood who Jesus exactly was (Matt 23:27, Luke 19:14). These countless multitudes that Jesus had healed from all demonic oppression and from all kinds of diseases had soon forgotten His wonderful works for them. His 3 1/2 year ministry of the preaching of repentance was beginning to wear thin on these and they had had enough of Him and His message, “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”

For the Word of God is sharp as a two edged sword..

Interesting that when Christ arrived in Jerusalem the shouts were not Halleujah, they were Hosanna.

Former Bishop Spong of Newark once made a compelling argument that Palm Sunday was actually Sukkot not Passover. It is Sukkot that has the Palm branches and Hoshannas are said.

Could it be that the people understood the prophesy from Daniel.

They saw Yah'shua as He who comes in the NAME of YHvH.

Psa 118:25 O YHvH, do save, we beseech You;
O YHvH, we beseech You, do send prosperity!

Psa 118:26 Blessed is the one who comes in the
NAME of YHvH;
We have blessed you from the house of YHvH.

A illuminated study of the Holy Word of G-d
will reveal that Yah'shua was born on the
YHvH commanded Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles).

John says YHvH came to tabernacle among us.

"Interesting that when Christ arrived in Jerusalem the shouts were not Halleujah, they were Hosanna."

And they were also shouting Messianic psalms: "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord." (Ps 118:26) They knew what they were seeing. And the Pharisees knew exactly what the impications were of what they were shouting - that's why they told Jesus to shut them up.

Actually when you follow the weeks of Daniel from the command to rebuild to the Messiah being cut off it is to the day of Palm Sunday.. Daniel 9:25-27 incredible pin point accuracy of the Lord of Hosts! Seven years to the day! http://www.theignorantfishermen.com/2008/09/seven-years-to-day-part-1.html

What is sad that the 2.5 million people wanted salvation from Rome and national health care (John 6:26)not a Savior for their sins and the Kingdom of Righteousness. That is why Judah (Judas)and they turned on Him. They wanted temporal relief not eternal deliverance.

"They wanted temporal relief not eternal deliverance"

I have it on good authority it was on 7 Nissan 3792, a week before Pesach

see Daniels 70 Weeks

It was most likely a Tuesday or Wednesday.

Thanks... It was Wednesday.. Good Wednesday... not Good Friday... there is no way that the Lord could have been in the heart of the earth 3 days and 3 night on Friday and be raised any time after 6:00 pm on Saturday night which started the Sunday on the Hebrew day clock.

The point was that man has choosn “temporal relief not eternal deliverance” from the first day in the garden.

Amen brother.

Saturday evening would have begun Nisan 17.

Gen 8:4 In the seventh month,
on the seventeenth day of the month,
the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat.
The New Beginning.

The Seventh month on the Civil calendar
would have been the first month on the Religious calendar.
i.e. Nisan or Abib
