But his purpose is not to defend...it’s to promote LDS and all it’s teachings on these threads, which he does do. Responding to his posts gives him the stage to do that IMO...and then he’s off and running with it.
I doubt the promotion is doing any good when 80% of the reply posts are by non-mormons...we see new names on the threads frequently agreeing with our stance.
In any case, I believe the more light shown on mormon articles such as this, the better. Christian FReepers reading this may change their minds about the "nicest people in the world" idea.

The Christian communities have many times over investigated Mormonism, and time and again have established it’s findings that the Mormon Church is not a Christian Organization, with the evidence in which to back their statements. But as with any cultish organization will always attempt to present itself as inclusive with Christianity to some extent or another.
Those who understand the rituals of Mormonism, it’s workings, the upper structures, and the overall teachings know fully well Momon teachings will never be included in the Christian community for they are not Christian, no matter how much they sugarcoat their teachings.
