Why Does Glenn Beck Hate Jesus?

When Glenn Beck told listeners of his radio show on March 2 that they should "run as fast as you can" from any church that preached "social or economic justice" because those were code words for Communism and Nazism, he probably thought he was tweaking a few crunchy religious liberals who didn't listen to the show anyway. Instead he managed to outrage Christians in most mainline Protestant denominations, African-American congregations, Hispanic churches, and Catholics...

God doesn’t believe in Aethiests, so that makes them nothing.

As Mrreaganaut said on another thread:

Atheists, meanwhile, sit around being snarky because nobody else worships their intellect as much as they do themselves.

"Hate Mormons? I don’t believe we hate Mormons."

I never said YOU hated Mormons. My comment about hating Mormons was not addressed to you and never mentioned anyone else other than the person to whom it was addressed and directed.

The saddest thing is that LDS don’t realize their own brainwashing

- - - - - -
They have no clue. I didn’t realize the full extent of it at the time either.

I have several friends who are LDS and it just breaks my heart. They are spinning on a hamster wheel and wearing themselves out when they can find peace and rest in Christ Jesus.

Thanks for the clarification. I am in agreement with you. This “social justice” is just another case of what is called legalistic theology. It is religion that creates a system of human tasks which must be performed to gain salvation. In this case, it is a system of social justice that must be followed as dictated by the collective body. It is a demonic bondage that reacts with violence and intolerance toward the concept of freedom. This creates a separation from the true message of Christ: the liberating eternal life that comes from an intimate relationship with Christ.

All legalistic churches are cults. It is spiritual blindness. They rob their members of the gifts of the Holy Spirit because they deny the liberty of Christ by killing joy, love and hope. It is the focus on the outward manifestations of righteousness rather than the grace of Christ that brings salvation. It is this Phariseeism that has killed the spiritual promise of Christ down through the ages.

We need Christians well armed with the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit to wage this war the enemies of freedom are mounting against our nation. They cannot be blinded with the demonic attack of legalistic theology.

Amen. My pastor calls these people “Grace stealers”. Having been a member of a legalistic religion (before I was a Christian) I am very wary of those who say that God requires a laundry list of requirements for Salvation (works, rites, ordinances, etc)

Enjoyed reading your post, and agree whole-heartedly. Just FYI...the word is “refrain” not “reframe.”

I am well aware of the shortcomings of the LDS church. They, like many religions and even some Christian churches have led their members into the bondage of legalism. Such a system is works-based religion which focuses on the manifestations of righteousness rather than the intimate relationship with Christ. I could say much about this demonic power that has separated people from God down through the ages. Yet, it is impossible to use argument to break people out of this demonic spell. However, thank the Lord Jesus to show us that the only perfect way to break the bondage of so many blind believers, is through the supernatural power of prayer. Only through the grace of Christ will their bonds be broken and the joy in the Lord be experienced.

God does the converting, not us.

But I will say this, I was ‘argued’ out of the LDS. Those who contributed most were the Born Again Christians who ticked me off enough to try to prove them wrong and the LDS church right. They were the ones who got me looking at the LDS history and doctrines and played a big part in my leaving.

Don’t knock the argument aspect of extraction.

Prayer allows God to work through us in a supernatural way. He puts the right things in our words to change people’s hearts. Without prayer, it is impossible to fight the powers and principalities that binds the hearts of others.

I agree completely and I spend much time in prayer over my posts to the LDS here and my witnessing to them IRL.

Interesting story...when I was LDS, a Christian bookstore owner befriended me and challenged me about LDS history and doctrine. He ticked me off big time. :)

Years later, after I had become a Christian and moved to another state, I met some friends at church and I was telling them about this bookstore owner. It turns out that not only did they know him, before he moved to Utah he was at their previous church and had asked the church to pray for the LDS he would meet.

My friends years later were praying for me long before they knew me.

There will be no “social justice” in Heaven.

As with all leftist evil, “social justice” substitutes the power of the state for our God-given free will. Where God says He wants us to be loving, merciful, and charitable, but leaves us the free will to be otherwise, “social justice” is the state saying, “Screw free will. You will *act* as we think you should, or men with guns will come arrest, fine, or kill you.”

As Shakespeare tells us, “...mercy...is twice blessed. It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.”

“Social justice,” conversely, is twice cursed: It robs the free will of him that gives, and degrades him that takes.

Shakespeare also notes that “...in the course of justice, none of us should see salvation. We do pray for mercy, and that same prayer doth teach us all to render the deeds of mercy...”

There is God’s will at work: people learning to be merciful for its own sake, and not because some leftist has a gun pointed at their heads.

And what does “social justice” teach us? From the POV of the taxed, “Men with guns take my hard-earned wages and give it to strangers, leaving me no choice in where and whether to perform deeds of charity.” From the POV of the taker, “They are so reluctant to help me that men with guns have to make them do it. How deep their contempt for me must be.”

As with so many of Satan’s programs, “social justice” appears to be noble, but is in fact deeply evil and destructive.

Classic Time magazine Divide & Conquer hit piece.

I agree. And, as usual, many will fall for it. Instead of ignoring it, they will do what Time expects them to do! Propaganda works but some can't see it when it hits them!

Bingo!

There have been movements in the Catholic Church to put social justice on par with abortion. It doesn't pass the smell test.

Too many Catholics don't follow their faith the way they should. They had no problem voting for Zero even though he is extremely pro-abortion. A disgrace to the faith.

Uh, yeah, that “Jesus of the Bible” that had the Roman soldiers take sheckles from the wealthy to redistribute them to the poor? That one? Get real.

When you pray go into a closet secretly.
