Featured Term (selected at random):
A theory about the origin of the universe, whether based on scientific reflection or religious belief. Catholic Christianity does not favor any particular scientific theory of the world's origins. Its concern is rather to teach on faith that God created the world in time, through the exercise of his omnipotence, and by a sovereign act of his divine will. (Etym. Greek kosmos, the world + gonos, offspring.)

Catholic Word of the Day Ping!
Please send me a FReepmail if you would like to be on the Catholic Word of the Day Ping List.
What is meant by God creating the world in time? Does it mean it was created over a period of time, or in time for some event?
Same here.....C
“If I knew God I’d be Him.”
The neat thing about time though, is that it’s relative: it passes more quickly or more slowly depending on the point of reference.
Personally, I’ve found little or nothing in life that is not relative.
With God there is no time. Time is eternal. Yesterday and yesteryear are the same as tomorrow and future years to God. We, as humans, have a difficult time grasping that idea, don’t we?
We assume, but that doesn’t stop people from theorizing. Like this article states.
