Featured Term (selected at random):
The passing from mortal life into eternity of the Virgin Mary. Although reliable records are lacking on the time, place, and circumstances of Mary's death, the fact was accepted by the early Church. Sts. Ephrem, Jerome, and Augustine take her death for granted. But Epiphanius (315-403), who had made a careful study of the documents, concluded: "Nobody knows how she departed this world." In the absence of a dogmatic pronouncement, modern theologians generally believe that Mary died. They admit that she was not bound by the law of mortality because of her exemption form sin, but it was fitting that Mary's body, by nature mortal, should conform to that of her Son, who allowed himself to die for the salvation of men.

This lack of clarity and information might be because she was not an important figure in the new church, she may have gone to Johns home and family and lived out her years as the humble servant she was
All of the saved bodies will be raised and be as He is.. That is the promise of the resurrection of Christ..
You must not have read any of the links above that speak to the Dogma of the Assumption of Mary.
Please re-educate yourself instead of believing all the previous Protestant things you have been inundated with to this date.
Do you know of the miracles connected with the Death of the Blessed Virgin Mary?
most of our ‘separated brethern’ prefer the ‘ignorance is bliss’ hermeneutics methodoloy.
“They admit that she was not bound by the law of mortality because of her exemption form sin,”
Makes sense. Although the Dogma of the Assumption refers simply to the “end of her earthly life,” her having experienced death seems to be the more theologically solid position.
Again and again we see it.
Since even her son had to die, why not she also..It is given to man to die once then judgement..?
That’s exactly what the commentary/denifinition said. Christ died, and so did his Mother.
Now I am confused...aren’t one of the mystery’s of the rosary, she was taken body and soul into heaven. Would that mean after her death or was her assumption before death?
