'Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: Praise Thy God, O Zion!' (Ps.147:12) 'I will Meditate on the Beauty of Thy Glorious Majesty, and Thy Wonderful Works. The Lord is Gracious, and Compassionate, Slow to Anger, and of Great Mercy. The Lord is Good to All, and His Tender Mercies are over All His Works. All Thy Works Praise Thee, O Lord, and Thy Saints Bless Thee.' (Ps.145:5,8-10)
Our Wonderful Shepherd, we Ask for the Protection and Blessing of our Troops. May Every Man be Covered by Your Loving and Tender Care. May the Name of Jesus Bring Comfort and Peace to Every Heart. Please Grant them the Invincibility and Power of the King of kings. May their Enemies be Defeated, Lord, by the Military of the USA. For our Troops we Ask Every Good and Awesome Gift of Heaven! 'Let Thy Lovingkindness Come Unto me, O Lord, And Thy Salvation According to Thy Promise.' (Ps.119:41)
Your Excellency, we Lift our Sister Rifqa Bary before Thee. Please Grant her Favor, Lord, at her Court Hearing on Tuesday. May Your Presence Comfort her, and Your Peace Bring Rest to her Heart. 'Blessed is he that hath the God of Jacob for his Help, whose Hope is in the Lord his God.' (Ps.146:5)
Thank You, Your Majesty, for Preserving Vice President Dick Cheney's Life. May his Heart Heal Quickly, to Your Most Excellent and Glorious Praise. May he Live Many More Years, to the Exaltation of Thy Loving Grace.
Thank You, our Father, for Hearing and Answering our Prayers. We are So Thankful, Lord, for the Blood of Christ that Set us Free. In Jesus' Name, for the Glory and Honor of the King, amen.

In the book Another Country, author Mary Pipher met with people in their seventies, eighties, and nineties who were confronting many different life situations.
I wanted . . . to understand the country of old age, Pipher writes. We are not organized in a way that makes aging easy. The root problem, she observed, is that young and old have become segregated, to the detriment of both groups.
This social trend is not necessarily intentional. But many people do ignore and shirk their responsibilities for the elderly. In Jesus day, the Pharisees found creative ways to avoid their family duties. In Mark 7:9-13, Jesus rebuked their common practice of dedicating their material possessions to God (declaring them as Corban) rather than using their assets to provide for their parents. Their tradition had violated the commandment to honor their father and their mother.
Our children, work, and church activities can pull us in many directions. But that doesnt excuse us from honoring our aging parents by making provision for their needs, as much as we are able (1 Tim. 5:8). When the time comes for us to enter the country of old age, lets hope weve set the right example for our own children to follow.

Lamh Foistenach Abu!
Amen
Amen.
Thank you for your prayers concerning Dick Cheney and Rifqa Bary.
Amen.

Amen to your beautiful prayer, KM. America is full of godly heroes; unfortunately we tend to hear of the less than heroic. May the Lord God preserve our nation and may those who love Him stand tall and prevail.
I join in prayer for all our heroes!
