This is a thread for the live streaming of Heart of the Matter an outreach to the LDS. A link with the archive will be posted when it is up.
Thank you so much for sharing that. “It is well” is one of my favorite hymns.
When I was LDS, I loved Amy Grant. I had her greatest hits cassette and would play it over and over again. The lyrics didn’t mean much to me and a few songs I disagreed with theologically but eventually I started see that they were ‘right’. It had an effect on me and my conversion.
Songs are powerful ways of teaching the true gospel of Grace. Keep going. How about adding “Jesus paid it all”, another one of my faves.
Praying for your friend, too.
“Jesus Paid it All” is on my list of gospels we sing on Sundays.
Peace.

Who does have a "testimony of the temple" -- and where does that "testimony" come from? Is it informed by the Book of Mormon, which barely mentions it, and only has one reference to teaching being done there...NO references whatsoever to ANY rituals like necro-baptism!!!!
What are you going to "testify about the temple?" Something like, "I testify that we're supposed to dunk dead people...and if we can't find their birth records, then let's just haul their corpses in and we'll immerse them that way"???
